LADERA RANCH — Session 1 of the adidas-led 3SSB circuit tipped off last Friday morning with some of the top prospects from around the country making their way to OGP Ladera for the three-day event. Below are the most dynamic 16u wings, forwards and centers we watched on the weekend.

The Northern California-based prospect showed smooth scoring instincts in transition and half-court offense. The 6-foot-5 wing was most effective in spot-up situations where he knocked down better than 50 percent of his three-point shots and he made a few of them during big moments of a regional rivalry matchup with Lakeshow. Chandler also used his combination of size, length and athleticism to finish in transition.

Antoine Caughman, Jr. | 2028 | Upward Stars

Caughman was a swiss army knife prospect who impacted the game as a scorer, rebounder, playmaker and defender. The 6-foot-6 wing knocked down off-catch and off-dribble jumpers, slashed his way to the rim and used his explosive athleticism to elevate and finish through and above contact. Caughman averaged 23.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2484296' first='Brendan' last='Williams'] | 2028 | Team Lillard

Williams was one of the more mobile and athletic big men we saw at the 16u level. The 6-foot-10 center was a near double-double threat in each game and averaged 11.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Williams was effective as a rim-runner and pick-and-roll finishing threat who used his strong frame and base to absorb and finish through contact around the basket.

Daniel Zoa | 2029 | D1 Minnesota

Zoa's numbers don't tell the whole story of how impactful he was for the Minnesota-based club. The 6-foot-5 forward was a bit undersized for the four-spot that he played but he made up for that with his effort, energy and ability to score on the block. Zoa had a couple of nice spin-off post moves to strong finishes at the rim. He was also active on the offensive and defensive glass.

Maxwell Joiner | 2028 | Indiana Elite

Joiner was one of the best pure basketball athletes at the 16u level. The 6-foot-5 wing was tough to contain in transition and half-court due to his quick-twitch speed and vertical athleticism. Joiner would blow-by the initial line of defense and explode to the rim where he used body control and touch to score at the rim. Joiner averaged 9.8 points and four rebounds per game.

Micah Cunningham | 2028 | Gamepoint

Cunningham was a Southern California prospect who had a breakout weekend for Gamepoint's 16u squad. The 6-foot-4 wing is a jack-of-all-trades type of player who can play a variety of positions and he impacted the game as a scorer, creator, rebounder and defender. His high motor and high level of activity led to him averaging 11.3 points and five rebounds per game on the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2552772' first='Tre' last='Terry'] | 2028 | Compton Magic

Terry wasn't able to finish the weekend due to injury so we were glad to see him when we did. The long, wiry and athletic 6-foot-4 wing was one of the best on-ball defenders we watched as his combination of lateral speed, length, quick hands and desire to get stops allowed him to disrupt opposing ball handlers.
