In our first look at the Southern California class of 2025 rankings, it's clear that there's a good amount of Division I talent – from High Major to Low Major – in the Southland's sophomore class. We'll break down those potential Division I-bound players in a series of pieces taking a closer look at each of their games and what landed them at their respective ranking, starting with players ranked 11 through 15.

Kandji is a mobile, active and versatile forward who has made some major improvements to his skill-set over the last year. The 6-foot-7 (pushing very close to 6-8) sophomore is a rebounding machine who can also protect the rim defensively and moves his feet well when containing ball handlers in ball screen action. Offensively, Kandji has improved his ball skills to where he's able to put the ball on the floor for straight line-drive finishes. The St. Monica standout is also a guy who crashes the offensive glass for second chance points.

Simmons impacts the game on both ends of the floor with his elite motor and freakish athleticism. The 6-foot-7 forward pursues offensive and defensive rebounds, runs the floor looking for early offense in transition and is great at creating shots for himself when facing up in the mid-post. Simmons can catch, face and rip through to either hand and use his explosiveness and physicality to finish through or over rim protectors. In our most recent viewing of him at the Pangos All-West Frosh/Soph Camp, Simmons flashed some perimeter touch and we're curious to see how he builds on that during the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630626' first='Bryce' last='Cofield'], Sierra Canyon, No. 13 overall prospect

Cofield is a dynamic transition athlete who uses his size, length and body control to slash through the defense for paint finishes. The 6-foot-4 wing can finish with power above the rim, but also has some finesse game with a floater and pull-up mid-range jumper. I think Cofield's biggest value right now is his defensive versatility. With his measureables and athleticism, he has a chance to establish himself as one of the better perimeter defenders in the Southland, especially now that he's at Sierra Canyon where he will play a schedule filled with good guards and wings.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630628' first='Dillan' last='Shaw'], Heritage Christian, No. 14 overall prospect

Shaw is an extremely skilled wing/forward with great size for the position. At 6-feet-7 with a long, wiry frame, Shaw's ability to knock down the three-point shot off the catch or out of pick and pop action opens the floor for guards to get into the lane and put pressure on the rim. Shaw is also a smart offensive player who doesn't force shots and uses a shot fake to shed a bad closeout where he can knock down a two dribble pull-up or make a good read and pass to an open teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630629' first='Isaac' last='Williamson'], Riverside Poly, No. 15 overall prospect

With the game at the highest levels fully shifted into a shooters paradise, Williamson ranks high for us because of his ability to knock down the three-ball. The 6-foot-1 shooting guard has the smoothest release in the state and is a deep range and multiple spot shooter who can hit both off the catch and off the dribble. Something that stands out about Williamson is how he can impact the game without dominating the ball. he moves well off the ball, knows how to create space when coming off of screens and is highly efficient with his shot selection.
