Brock rose quite a bit in the rankings. He’s had a college ready build for some time now, but the key is, his game has caught up with his body. Brock is a physical and intense presence on the floor and he’s not afraid to bang in the paint for a rebound. Brock can get out in the open floor and finish above the rim.
Washburn had one of the most dramatic rises in the class and his name deserves a high number, maybe even higher than it’s at. His size and strength is menacing for many opponents and it allows him to often times dominate the glass. Washburn gets high percentage looks at the rim through put back and by establishing position on the block.
Highlights
Vanlaningham has been a prospect that I’m very high on for some time now. College coaches, if you’re looking at the number by his name, please realize that it could be even higher. He’s a lights out shooter and has developed a reputation as such. But his hours upon hours in the gym at Strictly Skills have helped him develop as a penetrator and a powerful finisher at the rim.
If you saw him in the state playoffs last year, you know exactly why he’s a stock riser. Rykse is one of the most prolific offensive players in the class of 2024. He can get hot with his jumper and absolutely fill it up. Don’t be fooled though, because he’s not just a shooter. Rykse can make athletic moves and get to the bucket and score as well.
I’m not exactly sure how many spots Yeager moved up, but I’m willing to guess that he deserved more. After grassroots season and showcase season, he left no doubt that he’s a college ready shooter from behind the arc. Better yet, he’s made incredible strides as a decision maker and a ball handler.
