SOME THINGS STAY THE SAME
Ryan’s has been near the top of the rankings throughout his high school career. But concentrating on his number doesn’t necessarily show the way he’s improved through the years. Ryans can score as well as set the table for his teammates, doing both at a very high level. He can break down a defender off the bounce and sees openings for a bucket or an assist as well as anyone in the state.
Prep Hoops Michigan has consistently ranked Weaver as high as anyone, if not higher. College coaches, this ranking isn’t an accident. The kid can hoop. He can play under control at a high speed and has a great feel for the game. Weaver will be a big asset at the next level.
Malpass has been a consistent presence in the class of 2024 rankings. Trust me when I say this, no matter what number is been or has been beside his name, he’s one of the better post players in this class. Malpass combines power, verticality, and ball skills in a way that make him a very intriguing high level prospect.
SOME THINGS NEW
College coaches are always looking for that post players with skills potential to build on. Malloy is a great fit. He’s a tough rebounder that can defend the post effectively. Malloy may just be at the tip of the iceberg in his development and could be a really nice land by a program at the next level.
Shooters have extreme value at all levels of basketball. Krynicki could be that player that blows up as a shooter in college. It’s very obvious that he knows how to fill it up from deep already, so the previous statement is by no means a stretch. He’s at the very least earned his way on the list of ranked prospects.
There is a lot of value in a prospect that can shut it down on the perimeter defensively. Myles is just that type of player. A coach can put him on the best perimeter scorer for the opposition and feel really good about that move. Myles is such a gritty defender and a player that takes pride in his D and loves playing that role.
