I became really high on Malpass’ game about a year ago during showcase season. You have to see him in person to get a feel for exactly how athletic he is and how quick he can get off the ground. His hops and verticality go a long way in his game. He rebounds the ball high, often times just going up after the board higher and faster than his opponents.

Malpass has been a consistent presence in the class of 2024 rankings. Trust me when I say this, no matter what number is been or has been beside his name, he’s one of the better post players in this class. Malpass combines power, verticality, and ball skills in a way that make him a very intriguing high level prospect.

Malpass has a very nice skill set and a lot of the intangibles to go with it. He has a strong physical profile and the athleticism to help him make the most of it. Malpass is a multi level scorer that can flush home a finish under the rim as well as step out on the perimeter and shoot over top of his defender.
