Washburn is one of the most talented post players in Michigan and he’s showing that with DTO Elite. He averaged 8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game last weekend. It’s hard to find consistent post influencers like Washburn and college coaches are and should be taking note.

Washburn has been very good with DTO Elite and he sent a message last weekend. He worked really well off the left block and was nearly unstoppable finishing over his left shoulder. Washburn showed really active and bouncy feet in the lane. He kept moving in the lane, never getting cemented in 1 spot.

Washburn went from an intriguing prospect to premier post player in Michigan in a very short amount of time. That’s a testament to his dedication and work ethic. He’s not a project post that plays great defense but can disappear offensively. Washburn is solid on both ends. He’s a 2 way player that can defend the paint and finish with force offensively.

Washburn has been one of the best strongest post prospects in the state. He’s a powerful and athletic post player that can get above the rim to finish as well as clean up the glass. He’s a must see for any college coach in need of an impact player down low.

This name was a long time coming in this series of articles. He’s been a monster on the boards, both offensively and defensively. Washburn has picked up a lot of put back buckets because of his work on the offensive glass. He has been a powerful finisher at the rim. Washburn is a strong young man that is willing to put in the work early to get and maintain position under the rim.

I’m thankful to have Washburn around as a role model for other players. If you’re a player that’s questioning your abilities or wondering if you can be great at the game, then follow Washburn. He put in the work, believed in himself, and is now considered one of the best post prospects in Michigan.

Washburn had one of the most dramatic rises in the class and his name deserves a high number, maybe even higher than it’s at. His size and strength is menacing for many opponents and it allows him to often times dominate the glass. Washburn gets high percentage looks at the rim through put back and by establishing position on the block.

I asked a coach at the Top 250 what they thought of Washburn’s game. They responded by saying that it’s hard to stop someone that’s too big and too strong. Enough said.
