The 2023 rankings have seen a bit of a shake-up with some movers into and out of the state of North Carolina. Tennessee commit Freddie Dilione Freddie Dilione 6'6" | SG Word of God | 2023 #37 Nation NC finds himself with the top spot at No. 1 with new Word of God Christian Academy teammate and Alabama commit Davin Cosby Jr Davin Cosby Jr 6'5" | CG Word of God | 2023 #111 Nation NC . coming in right behind him at No. 2. Jaydon Young Jaydon Young 6'4" | CG Greensboro Day | 2023 State #206 Nation NC (Virginia Tech) and Silas Demary Jr Silas Demary Jr 6'4" | CG Combine Academy | 2023 State #114 Nation NC . (USC) come in at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively in the ranks following busy summers from them on the recruiting trail. They saw their status in the class skyrocket on the national scene with their respective grassroots teams with Demary's concluding with the UA National crown to show off his ability to win games. He's due for a big season at Combine Academy.

At No. 5, big man Elijah Strong Elijah Strong 6'8" | PF Myers Park | 2023 State #230 Nation NC checks in as another Team Curry product that should see his status grow this season at Myers Park High. He's committed to Wofford in the SoCon. At No. 6, Isaiah Coleman Isaiah Coleman 6'5" | SF Word of God | 2023 State #59 Nation NC is another Virginia import joining the Word of God ranks, which should make them quite the talented bunch in 2022-23. He's an active slashing guard that's committed to Charleston Southern. Richmond commit Collin Tanner Collin Tanner 6'6" | SF Combine Academy | 2023 State NC checks at No. 7, moving up from No. 13 in the previous rankings update. He's another prospect set for a big season with Combine Academy alongside Silas Demary Jr Silas Demary Jr 6'4" | CG Combine Academy | 2023 State #114 Nation NC .. Anthony Robinson Anthony Robinson 6'9" | PF Christ School | 2023 State NC was a stock riser of sorts, moving into the No. 8 spot after debuting at No. 22. He's had a busy summer and heading into his senior season at Christ School, he's committed to South Florida.

Checking in at No. 9 is Comeh Emuobor Comeh Emuobor 6'4" | CG Brewster Academy | 2023 State #198 Nation NC , who remains in the NC ranks though he'll finish up his prep career at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. He should see an increase in his development there since committing to UCF. And another stock riser rounds out the Top 10 in Gaston Day School's Callum Richard Callum Richard 6'11" | C Gaston Day | 2023 State NC , a big man who's improved tremendously as a rim presence, rebounder and shot-blocker. He's committed to East Tennessee State.
