The Michigan version of the event will feature some exciting players for coaches at all levels to see. It will be the perfect opportunity to see the outstanding talent coming through this state. Let’s preview the Prep Hoops Michigan Top 250 by looking at some of the players that are registered for the event.
Bentley is a player that I’ve been high on for some time now. He’s a strong wing that can match up physically with basically any 2 or 3 in the state. Bentley has a jumper that he can get off and stay balanced on even when in traffic. He does a great job reading the defense and taking what’s available.
Calvert is coming off a terrific performance at the David Barns Showcase. He showed some really nice ball skills that allowed him to go 1-on-1 and create space. Calvert connected consistently on his jumper throughout the day at the David Barns Showcase. He’s an excellent passer that can deliver a bounce pass to the post with accuracy and touch.

Charleston is a player that could send a huge message at the Top 250. He’s an athletic guard that has some flare to his game on offense. Defensively, he’s willing to buckle in, get a low base, and out grind his opponent. Charleston could be one of the top breakout players at the event.

Cruz is flying a bit under the radar, but not for long. The young man can fill it up from behind the arc and he’s confident in his jumper. Cruz is a smooth athlete that can push the pace off a long rebound. He’s comfortable with a deep pull up jumper that surprises his defenders.
I know that I’m excited to see Risdon play. He’s been a terrific defensive player and rim protector since he entered high school. He’s developed some finishing abilities and strength under the rim. College coaches will want to see the offensive development that he’s had over the last year.
