We will have some local talent playing across the country and locally as well, some freshman will get run early while others look to crack the rotation. Here is a list of players that have made a move and look to make an impact.
6’7 W Henry Ihrig || Huntington University ||
Henry quietly had an exceptional senior season and high school career at Davis High School. Henry will take a lot of his high school skills to college as he has that style of play that will be effective at the next level. Henry is an underrated perimeter player. At the AAU level he would show off that skill and with a quick first step he gets to the rim and finishes above the rim. He shoots the ball well as he can spread the floor. Will likely play the 3 but he can hold his own against bigs and smaller guards. That lateral footwork allows him to defend multiple positions. Good back to the basket game. Excited for him at the next level.
Khayleb Tua’one || RSL Academy Prep ||
The ex-Bingham Miner will make his way a few miles South as he will head to RSL Academy’s Prep School. Unfortunately Khayleb did not play his senior year as he was injured and missed the entire year. He was able to suit up a bit this summer but it was not enough to get him to the next level. With an opportunity to likely play 30+ games next season he could be a really solid next level PG for a small school. Plays defense and holds his own on both ends of the floor. Has the ability to create for others. Should be a fun local player to watch at RSL’s Prep program.
Yaw Reneer || Metro State University ||
Yaw is a really good two-way player. One of the best you will see. He can defend multiple positions and when college progress are switching everything Yaw will fit right in. With such a big defensive foundation he could make his way into the rotation with that intensity that he will bring at the next level. He has some more room to improve so look for him to continue to develop out in Denver over the years.
Jaxon Heiden || SLCC ||
Jaxon one of the better off the radar bigs that improved so much playing this past grassroots season. He had some impressive plays out in the perimeter. He was rebounding at a high level and he looks to continue to refine his skills at the NJCAA level. The 6’9 big should get some run and develop on the floor.
