Basketball Colorado Showcase: Notable Wings

Carter has great height standing at 6'4 and a good understanding of the game. He showed off his smooth handle on the ball, shaking defenders out of position. Without the ball in his hands, Carter showed good instincts in finding open spots on the floor and ran the fast break very well. Carter is a high-upside wing who will surely be a well-known name in the Colorado high school community very soon. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1168984' first='Matthew' last='Boldt'] - Fossil Ridge</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1168984' first='Matthew' last='Boldt'] made his name known in the 5v5 portion by outworking his opponents. He has great size for a forward standing at 6'5, he used his length to take long efficient steps to the rim. He did a good job of using his triple threat for pump fakes and jab steps to create space off of closeouts. Near the rim, he showed good footwork getting to his spots to draw fouls or finish with a soft touch. Matthew did a good job cleaning the boards on both ends even making some impressive putbacks. Matthew will be a big piece for a stacked Fossil Ridge squad looking to get back to the championship.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cole Holloway - Dakota Ridge</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cole Holloway did a superb job playing his role and that allowed his impact to be seen on the floor. Cole has a solid frame and uses that to set great screens where he found a few buckets when rolling to the basket. He did a good job of rolling and cutting, he also brought great effort battling for every rebound and loose ball. On the defensive end, not surprisingly he also brought great energy being a communicator on the floor. Cole is a high-impact role player who will an essential piece for Dakota Ridge this upcoming season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1284411' first='Aidan' last='Peck'] - Rock Canyon</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1284411' first='Aidan' last='Peck'] playing from the wing did a great job of facilitating the ball to find open teammates. At this event, Aidan showed off his guard-like abilities by putting the ball on the floor and often initiating the offense. When playing off of the ball, he was a knockdown catch-and-shoot option for his team. While he created a lot for others he also showed his ability to create for himself off of the dribble, knocking down jumpers and scoring inside. Aidan's do it all abilities will be a huge help for Rock Canyon this upcoming season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
