After a busy summer on the grassroots circuit and prospects playing with their high school teams, it’s time to update the rankings and reflect on all the basketball we’ve watched in the past few months. Our first class to update is the incoming seniors in 2023. This updated ranking now features over 200 prospects in total.
Devin Royal Devin Royal 6'6" | PF Pickerington Central | 2023 State #49 Nation OH holds steady at the top spot after a solid Peach Jam performance, Royal is set to commit on Wednesday to either Ohio State, Michigan State or Alabama. Dailyn Swain Dailyn Swain 6'7" | SF Africentric | 2023 State #81 Nation OH keeps the number two spot after a really solid month of June with Africentric. George Washington III George Washington III 6'3" | CG Chaminade Julienne | 2023 State #92 Nation OH is the new number three prospect after Cincinnati commit Rayvon Griffith Rayvon Griffith 6'6" | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2023 State #78 Nation AZ moved away to Arizona for his senior season. Washington comes from Kentucky and will play one year with Chaminade Julienne before suiting up for the Ohio State Buckeyes. At number 4 is Gabe Cupps Gabe Cupps 6'1" | PG Centerville | 2023 State #80 Nation OH , the Indiana commit was steady all summer long for Midwest Basketball Club and remains a top 100 national prospect. Lawrent Rice Lawrent Rice 6'4" | PG Huber Heights Wayne | 2023 State #184 Nation OH and Austin Parks Austin Parks 6'9" | C St. Mary's Memorial | 2023 State #166 Nation OH swap places at 5 and 6 respectively. Rice has lots of high major offers to consider while Parks has been committed to Ohio State for a while now. Finally, Marlon Barnes rounds out the top 7 prospects. Barnes is committed to Pitt.
