This weekend I attended the 2022 Pangos All-American Festival at McBride HS in Cali.

There were 40 standouts from around the country from the four regions of West, Midwest, South and East.

Six Arizona players were well represented on the four teams. Five of the six players were pictured. [player_tooltip player_id='1039603' first='Zayden' last='High'] was also a part of the prestigious event.

[player_tooltip player_id='1129386' first='Pharaoh' last='Compton'] AZ Compass Prep

One of the top true rim runners at the event. He scored 22 points the first game with literally 10 dunks! He is extremely powerful and at only six-foot-seven he manages to throw it down in traffic with massive hands and a ridiculous wingspan. He rebounds, blocks shots and runs the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='861099' first='Marquis' last='Cook'] AZ Compass Prep

A supremely athletic wing forward has a high feel for the game. He showed a big piece to his game that most didn't realize he had, and that is his passing. He made some darts to teammates down the court and drove and kicked it many times in traffic. He rebounds out of his area often and you will see many tip dunks off of rebounds. He shot the ball with deep range and the Oregon commit showed his all-around play.

[player_tooltip player_id='814036' first='Tru' last='Washington'] AZ Compass Prep

Not many tougher then Tru at this event. He got downhill to the basket, shot the three-ball well and he rebounds seemingly anything near him with his will and determination. His shooting has now opened it up for his driving to the rim where he finishes above the rim or bounces off defenders to score.

[player_tooltip player_id='1367577' first='Luke' last='Bamgboye'] Bella Vista Prep

A long and lean post player covers a lot of ground on defense and has skill. He has a polished mid-range jumper and can even occasionally hit the three. He has a nice right hand dominant hook but he is an enforcer to block shots and gobble up rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='994006' first='Styles' last='Phipps'] St. Mary's

One of the shiftier guards in attendance has a high feel and precise passes to teammates. This is when he is at his best. Throwing dimes and keeping defenders on their heels with his constant changing of speeds. His mid-range pull-up is his offensive weapon of choice.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039603' first='Zayden' last='High'] AZ Compass Prep

A face-up forward plays the three and four. He has skill, strength and passing ability. He had multiple finds down the court to teammates and he will shoot it with range with some consistency. He crashed the glass showing a motor and made many little plays to help his team.
