The NorCal 2024 Rankings have been updated. Here we have prospects who we thought raised their stock, during high school season, spring, and summer during the lives periods in front of college coaches and scouts. Here at PH NorCal we've expanded the rankings list some players have moved up and others down. We make every attempt to see as many prospects in NorCal as we can.

[player_tooltip player_id='1382880' first='Caden' last='Pinnick'] 5'9 PG of Del Oro HS

Pinnick is an athletic high IQ 4.0 GPA student who plays multiple sports. A solid point guard with superb skills for the position. He's a bit under the radar because he's not a full time hooper. That being said, he's difficult to guard when he decides to go into attack mode, his quickness on the crossover, paired with his strength to get into the paint to challenge bigs is noticeable. He hits the mid-range jumper off the dribble with regularity, he knocks down the open 3. He can can stay in front of other guards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1383618' first='Drevon' last='Johnson'] 6'8 F/PF of Modesto Christian HS

A rising prospect in this class. His WCE NorCal 16U UAA squad was in the title game in Chicago this past summer. He's steadily improving his offensive skill set, his improving foot-work, paint jumper, and going after lobs generates points in the paint for himself. He'll hit the offensive boards. He's made good strides as a post defender. He has length, and jumps well to block, and change, he'll get his fair share of rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1256578' first='Cole' last='Epperson'] 6'7 Forward of Jesuit HS

He's put himself squarely on the map because he's knocking down his 3pt shots more often, from all the important spots, the corner, on the wings, and coming down in transition. He's bulked up a bit, his strength and ball handling improvements gives him a chance to handle and create shot attempts for himself in transition and on the perimeter. His rebounding numbers should go up this coming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1395412' first='Joaquin' last='Aguillon'] 6'1 CG of The Branson HS

He could be one of NorCals most versatile prospects in this 2024 class. He has the skills to properly run an offense, showing patience, good passing, and solid ball handling. He doesn't get enough credit for being a good 3pt shooter. At 6'1 he's often tasked with guarding one of the better players on the other team regardless of size.

[player_tooltip player_id='1256538' first='Gavin' last='Ripp'] 6'7 Forward of Archbishop Mitty HS (Featured)
Ripp had sort of a coming out party this spring and summer. He's shown improvement across the board. He'll be a contributor this season with his defense and rebounding. He's putting together a good set of offensive skills that will help balance his game. Consistency is what we're looking for.

[player_tooltip player_id='1385041' first='Will' last='Ambidge'] 6'6 Forward of San Ramon Valley HS

He's long and stronger than he looks, he's a good court runner. Ambidge has improved his 3pt shot, he's a triple threat when he sets up in the corner now. He's always been solid attacking the rim from the baseline, with strong finishes off two in the paint and other ways. He'll battle for rebounds, and defend hard.

Nathan D'Abreau Noronha 6'0 Guard of Archbishop Mitty HS

Noronha has been trending up since the first live periods. Someone told him to be more aggressive with the ball, and take his shots. When he does that it elevates him to a good all-around player. He's a high IQ prospect that works hard on the defensive side of the ball. He's an excellent passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1253529' first='Quentin' last='Thompson'] 6'3 G/F of Lincoln HS, Stockton

Thompson is long with some athleticism, he might still be growing, nonetheless he's put in good work over the spring and summer. showing a somewhat versatile skill set. He did well in the open court handling and pushing the ball in transition. He brings good play around the rim finishing with his length and good hops. He'll look to shoot corner 3's if open.

[player_tooltip player_id='1382885' first='Ben' last='Dotta'] 6'6 SF of Santa Cruz HS

Dotta has an improving set of skills for the forward position. He's starting to fill his frame and use his body to his advantage, using it to bump and bang for rebounds and put-back points. He has a decent shot from the free throw area and in, we've seen him hit corner 3's. He's a solid passer from the high post and rolls well to the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1383621' first='Samuel' last='Chavarin'] 6'2 G/F of Bishop O'Dowd HS

He's longer, stronger, and has improved his over game this spring and summer. He'll be a solid contributor for the Dragons this season. He improved his offensive skill set. His ball handling allows him to be aggressive and attack off the dribble more often. At 6'2 he works well at the high post, and in, he's hitting the paint jumper. He's a good rebounding guard and plays strong in the paint. He can defend multiple positions.
