He’s been a player that has added pieces to his overall skill-set each season. Ripp had a breakout Spring and Summer. He along with the others has more room to expand his game. He’ll play in the West Coast Conference at the University of San Diego.

Gavin plays with a great motor and excels on the glass at both ends. He is constantly moving in the paint with his hands kept high and his boundless energy allows him to create numerous second chance opportunities for Archbishop Mitty as well as draw fouls and get to the free throw line. Ripp can put the ball on the floor to beat slower defenders and finish effectively at the rim with either hand.

Ripp continues to raise his play against quality competition. The 6’8 Forward made his present felt throughout the contest. By our unofficial count he was close to a double double in rebounding and scoring. He’s showing presence in the paint on both ends. He has a good rip throughs before driving He was effective from the mid to high post. He hit a 3 at the top.

He’s has a nice frame, and a growing body. He’s a rising prospect in the 2024 class. He’s steadily expanding his presence on the court, with continued development he’ll have to be accounted for. He’s active in and around the basket on both ends, he’s an excellent passer, and cutter without the ball. He can work from the mid-post, or back you down and turn. We’ve seen him handle a bit. 6pts, 6rebs, 2a,1b, 1st.
