Leroy Barnes Leroy Barnes 6'1" | PG Minnehaha | 2023 State MN of Minnehaha Academy/Real Phenom. Barnes is the top returning scorer (11ppg) and creator (3apg) for the Redhawks this season and after watching him play with Real Phenom this summer we think Leroy could have a great senior season as a wing scorer threat. Barnes can come at you in a number of ways as his buckets are a mixed bag.
Kaden Cook Kaden Cook 6'4" | PF Park Center | 2023 State MN of Park Center/Minnesota Select James. If you saw PC this summer or if you took in one of the Select games with Coach Lernell James, you saw Cook dominating people with his back to the basket. Teams have to guard him with a forward and the vast majority of forwards in Minnesota can not control Kaden around the basket. Expect Cook to be a very valuable piece to the Pirate repeat effort.
Jace Hernandez Jace Hernandez 6'8" | C Lakeville North | 2023 State MN of Lakeville North/Minnesota Fury. The July play of Hernandez rebounding at a much higher rate (several 9-10 board games) and finishing with more consistency has me believing stronger in what he can do for North this year and I think Jace can be a really nice player in the MIAC (or something like it).
Michael Kirchner Michael Kirchner 6'0" | PG St. Thomas Academy | 2023 State MN of St. Thomas Academy/Real Phenom. A player who really left a strong impression this summer was Kirchner. He scored 15 a game for STA last season and this summer his shooting touch was on. Behind the arc he was a 40% Club member and his pull-up and aggressive fight to the paint to get his shot off helped hit that 20+ barrier a number of times. One of the more under the radar wing producers out there.
Ben Kopetzki Ben Kopetzki 6'0" | PG Andover | 2023 State MN of Andover/Minnesota Fury. Ben’s ability to shoot the basketball and his trusted play led to an opportunity to play at Concorida-St. Paul (which he took) and it helped the Fury continue to win basketball games throughout July. Call him a point, call him a shooter, call him a combo, at Andover they’ve called him a winner.
Will Kutzler Will Kutzler 6'7" | PF Lakeville North | 2023 State MN of Lakeville North/WOTN. At 6’7 with a really nice touch Will didn’t just play well this 17u season, he was a consistent scorer for his team and we think he can be yet another weapon for the Panthers. You see Will here, you see Jace, you know about Winter, Robison, Vaith, and Thornton, and we’ve seen Drake have the great 16u year, now you know why we think this could be a special year for the Panthers.
Raoul Vaidya Raoul Vaidya 6'0" | PG Maple Grove | 2023 State MN of Maple Grove/Northstar Titans. Raoul Vaidya Raoul Vaidya 6'0" | PG Maple Grove | 2023 State MN . This very talented team leader and producer continues to surprise. He grabbed our attention as a sophomore taking over the PG job and helping the Crimson to state, and he really grabbed our attention this 17u season leading the Titans to several wins. One of the state’s best playmakers.
