Arguably the top shooter in attendance, Jaden has the ability to catch fire from beyond the arc. Has a quick release with the left hand and range that extends to well beyond the high school arc. He’s not just a shooter though, as Jaden showed he can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. Not the quickest or tallest guy on the floor, but is so good at getting his defender on his hip and just keeping him there the whole time he drives to the basket. Showed he can bump a defender off of him and then extend to finish at the basket, either finishing or drawing a foul on most occasions. Jaden added in a couple of nice full-court passes hitting his teammate in stride towards the basket for an easy finish.
You won’t find many guards quicker than Sam in Minnesota’s 2023 class. He has such a quick burst to attack the basket, and is absolutely relentless with the ball in his hands. One of those players who isn’t afraid to go up and finish against someone half a foot taller than him, and even in a camp setting where the refs were letting the kids play, he was earning plenty of trips to the free throw line. Has some strength to him which allows him to keep his balance in the air even through contact and convert on some tough looks. Even when he missed he showed the effort to sprint back on defense, and on one occasion he stole the ball right back from the player who rebounded it and went up for two points.

I hadn’t seen Sam play in person prior to this event, and came away very impressed with his current ability and long term potential. At 6’5 he has plenty of length, but is agile and mobile at his size allowing him to make plays on the perimeter and interior. In the 3v3 drill he was dominant at times with his ability to come off ball screens and make his defender pick his poison. When Sam’s man went under the screen he showed the confidence to pull up and knock down a jumper. But when his defender chased him over and the hedge wasn’t there, Sam could turn the corner and get to the rack. One of those resulted in an explosive one-hand dunk while he also showed a soft floater. As one of the tallest players at the camp he spent a lot of time defending in the post, but with his mobility I think he has the promise to be a versatile player on that end of the floor.

I thought Jackson showed a lot of poise on the ball throughout the weekend. Wasn’t trying to force his game and instead would make smart reads to keep the ball moving or capitalize on his scoring chances when they presented themselves. As always he was a threat from beyond the arc, and is capable of making defenders pay when they try to go under a screen on him. Give him too much space, and it can turn into a quick three points. Jackson isn’t the quickest or most explosive athlete but he’s going to work his tail off on the defensive end while also communicating well especially when defending/calling out screens.

Giordan Easley
Giordan Easley
Giordan showcased an advanced feel for the game for his age. Changes his pace so well and is also extremely active off the ball. Is so good at passing and relocating into space on the perimeter or beating his man backdoor to get to the basket. Had multiple give-and-go finishes showcasing his quick burst to the basket. Giordan can also create on the ball as he has a shifty handle to create some separation on the perimeter, and he elevates off the floor for his mid-range jumper. Easley will be a prospect to keep an eye on out of St. Cloud in the 2025 class.
Eban Lo
Eban Lo
Eban is so shifty with the ball in his hands, and is one of those players who can operate out of tight spaces with ease. All afternoon long he had defenders chasing trying to keep up with him. Showcased deep range on his outside shot with the ability to quickly shoot both off the catch or dribble. Was a double figure scorer as a freshman for Minneapolis Patrick Henry last winter, and I expect him to once again be a threat in the City Conference as a sophomore.

Rhikeishi played the best that I’ve seen him play over the weekend. He’s someone who just steps out and gives it 100% at all times, and isn’t afraid to put his body on the line to make a play. Stood in and took a hard hit in the lane to draw a charge, and the very next play he dribbled off a screen and pulled up for a mid-range jumper. Not someone who’s going to score a lot, but he did knock down a few mid-range shots from throughout the day. Lee is at his best as a defensive worker who’s going to pressure the ball hard, fight over screens, and has the length to guard a few different spots at the high school level. Thought he was one of the better rebounders from the event as well as he did a nice job of high pointing the ball and always securing it with two hands.
