Guys that can turn nothing into something, just by being able to put the ball exactly where they want it. Let’s look at 5 players that have been thought of as top passers.
Remember this young man’s name because he’s going to make a lot of noise over the next 4 years. Charter can break down a defense when he has the ball in his hands, and many times, he does with the pass. He has very good positional size which often allows him to pass over the top depending on matchups. Charter is an excellent passer in motion in the open floor.
Highlights
I’m going to say it until I’m blue in the face, Foreman is one of the best passers in the state…..easily. He has eyes not just in the back of his head, but on the sides as well. Foreman sees everyone and everything on the floor. He has beautiful touch on his passes that allow him to pass both out of traffic and into it as well.
Bryce Garbacz

Garbacz made a statement in grassroots basketball this summer and a lot of it had to do with his energy and effort on the defensive end of the floor. He’s a hustle player on D that’s willing to outwork his opponent. Garbacz is a wing with a solid basketball IQ on the defensive end. I like his understanding of when to crash the offensive glass as opposed to when to get back on defense and to do this in the most effective manner.
Kolakovich is sort of the jack of all trades when it comes to talented perimeter prospects. He can shoot, defend, and yes pass, at a very high level. He has touch and accuracy on his post feeds and does a great job utilizing the bounce pass. Kolakovich is a dangerous passer when leading the break. He can hit cutters from the wing as well as penetrate to the free throw line and dump the ball off.
Szamrej had a very impressive grassroots season. Many may have focused on his shooting and scoring, but his passing was probably the most impressive aspect of his game. He sees the floor well, playing with his head up and on a swivel. Szamrej can put the ball on the floor, move the defense, and hit his teammates with an accurate pass off the bounce.
