With the Class of 2022 on their way to college in a few weeks, it is now time to start thinking at who will emerge this coming season as top players across the state. The 2023 Class is one of the deepest and most talented the Garden State has ever seen. 2024 has its fair share of talent as well and today we look at some players who could make a big name for themselves as juniors and raise their recruiting stock.

[player_tooltip player_id='1464420' first='Matt' last='Schwartz'] | 6'3” || G | Hunterdon Central

A multi-level scorer who can take advantage of defenders with his left handled skillset. He's at his best as a catch-and-shoot player, especially in the corners. He contributed as an underclassman last year for the Devils and will be able to expand his skillset this coming year. He had 17 vs Gill St Bernards and 12 vs Immaculata. Expect college coaches to become very interested this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1273929' first='Alex' last='George'] | 6'2” | G | Shore Regional

Solid ballhandler in the backcourt who can connect from beyond the arc and also attack the basket. He took on a leadership role last year and will be poised for a breakout junior year. He's got a good basketball IQ and can facilitate. Shore brings a lot back next year and he's the unquestioned bus driver. He had 24 vs Beach, 21 vs Freehold Boro and 18 vs Holmdel last year. He should make a good run at 1,000 pts.

[player_tooltip player_id='1153992' first='Julien' last='Leveille'] | 6'3” | F | Saint Mary Rutherford

While teammates L.J. Falconi and [player_tooltip player_id='1153981' first='Luke' last='Gaccione'] are making the big headlines, Leveille is flying under the radar as a stock riser for the next two years. He's a rugged defender who can also get it done on offense when called upon. He was an all-league selection as a sophomore and has big games vs Wood-Ridge(27), Pascack Valley(12&15) and Waldwick(12&12).

[player_tooltip player_id='1406995' first='Eugene' last='Byass'] | 6'0” | G | East Orange

A physical player with a solid physique which should allow him to be a key player for EOC this coming season. He's got the ability to drive at the basket with his physicality and also can step back and shoot from beyond the arc. His top games as a sophomore were vs Franklin(17) and Paramus Catholic(25)

[player_tooltip player_id='1153979' first='Jaden' last='Barnett'] | 5'10” | G | Elizabeth

Barnett saw time off the bench for the Minutemen as they powered their way to the state title. He's adept at getting to the rim and beating defenders off the dribble. He's a tough defender, which is standard for Union County elite programs. He can move the ball and facilitate as well. He'll be expected to step into a larger role this coming winter to support [player_tooltip player_id='1153987' first='London' last='Carson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1013067' first='Sebastian' last='Robinson'].
