One of New Jersey's top independent programs, the [program_tooltip program_id='2078572' first='New' last='Jersey Panthers'], hosted an intersquad scrimmage early last week, offering an initial glimpse at this year's roster across multiple age groups. While a few key players were sidelined with minor injuries, the event still showcased the depth and talent within the program. Throughout last week's Panthers' intersquad scrimmage action, Flood continued to showcase his unselfishness and his ability to be such a willing passer, one who very often makes a lot of the right reads running the offense. Flood also showed an ability to be a respectable threat from three point range as a spot up shooter.</p>

Possessing a noticeably strong and stout frame, Van Hoeck also projects to bring toughness and a physical presence on the interior as well.</p>

<p>Figured to be one of the lead guards for this 16U HGSL group, [player_tooltip player_id='2194748' first='Bryce' last='Scott'] impressed throughout last week's intersquad action particularly with the instinctual feel he showed for creating overall offense, especially out of different PnR actions— getting to his spots off the bounce for smooth mid range pull ups and even finding diving rollers cutting to the basket. </p>

<p>Providing optimal floor spacing and effective off ball scoring, [player_tooltip player_id='3453266' first='Julian' last='Paradise'] is expected to thrive in a role that highlights what he does best— a dangerous catch and shoot threat from three point range capable of settling into a nice rhythm. Paradise demonstrated a reliable ability to be effective as a spot up shooter and just also as effective and efficient as a movement shooter.</p>

<p>One of the bigger revelations on the day was freshman Mike Okeoma from Union Catholic— particularly with the intriguing size for his position and quick twitch movement skills coupled with his natural scoring instincts both on and off the ball. Okeoma showcased a versatile scoring attack creating shots for himself off the bounce and getting to his spots while also off the ball, excelling as a cutter to open space and a spot up shooter from three point range.</p>

<p>Probably the biggest revelation on the day was Cam Pieklo, an emerging sharpshooter for this 16U Academic group who caught fire during intersquad scrimmage action. Pieklo projects to offer optimal floor spacing ability with his confident outside shooting— soft touch from the outside and versatility to shoot it off the catch and create space off the bounce, featuring a quick and high release.</p>

<p>Charles LoPresti is a fundamentally sound floor general who demonstrated his ability to possess a strong command of the offense— particularly with on time, precise and super unselfish passing, sound decision making to make the right read and keep the defense honest, controlling the tempo choosing when to speed up the pace or slow down and get into offense all while also providing three point shot making off the ball. </p>
