We’ll take a look at positional rankings, ranking the guards, wings and bigs.
Here’s a look at part two of the wings rankings, ranking 15-6 of the shooting guards and small forwards in the class of 2024.
15) Isaiah Fuhrmann Isaiah Fuhrmann 6'5" | SF Nansemond-Suffolk | 2024 VA | 6’5” SF | Nansemond-Suffolk (#31 Overall)
Fuhrmann is someone with big time potential as the 6’5” two sport star is a big time athlete who could be a division one prospect both in football and in basketball. He is show time in transition as he plays well above the rim and has good speed in transition, he can create and make tough shots from multiple spots on the floor using his size and he’s a big time defender both on the ball and in help side.
14) Zekhi Darden Zekhi Darden 6'5" | SF King's Fork | 2024 State VA | 6’5” SF | King’s Fork (#28 Overall)
Darden is a guy who doesn’t get much shine on a King’s Fork team that had a lot of upperclassmen last year, but as he continues to develop he could turn into one of the top players in the 757. He’s a big wing that’s a big time athlete who plays above the rim and rebounds well, he plays with a good motor and makes the hustle plays and he continues to show improvement in his perimeter skillset as a shooter and ball handler.
13) Kolier Pruett | 6’4” SG | Narrows (#27 Overall)
Pruett is from a very small school about 40 minutes outside of Roanoke near the West Virginia area so he’s unknown by many, but best believe this kid can play with the best of them. The 6’4” off guard is a big time shooter from deep and has deep range, he is crafty off the bounce and has terrific feel as a playmaker, he’s much more athletic as a finisher than he looks and he simply knows how to play the game and put the ball in the basket.
12) Dominique Bailey Dominique Bailey 6'2" | SG John Marshall | 2024 State VA | 6’2” SG | John Marshall (#26 Overall)
Bailey is toughness personified at the two guard spot as he is one of if not the elite perimeter defender in the 2024 class that takes total pride in that end of the floor. He moves his feet well and stays in front of ball handlers and drivers well, he anticipates well and takes charges on the ball as well as jumping passing lanes and taking charges off the ball and he’s a good spot up shooter and can get to the rim as well.
11) Paul Jones Paul Jones 6'4" | CG Combine Academy | 2024 State NC | 6’2” SG | Churchland (#24 Overall)
Jones is rising the ranks in the 757 as on elf the top off guards in the area and he brings a lot of production on both ends as well as a lot of potential moving forward. He’s a smooth guard with long arms that is a good athlete and brings it on both ends of the floor, he can knock down shots from deep and create his own shot off the bounce and he’s a good rebounder for his position as well.
10) Jordan Watlington Jordan Watlington 6'5" | SF Menchville | 2024 State VA | 6’5” SF | Menchville (#23 Overall)
Watlington had a good sophomore season as a role player for Menchville, but his summer he showed his big time potential moving forward as he continues to improve and showed he has a budding skillset that’s very intriguing. At 6’5” he’s a long wing who plays with a good motor and is a good athlete, he can put it on the deck and handle it in transition and make plays for others and he does all the little things that helps his team win games.
9) Brandon Jennings Brandon Jennings 6'4" | PG St. Christopher's | 2024 State VA | 6’3” SG | St. Christopher’s (#22 Overall)
Jennings burst on the scene this summer with Team Push and is starting to get division one attention and recently picked up his first offer from Lafayette with many more to come as he continues to improve. He’s a big time athlete who can get downhill and play at and above the rim, he’s dynamic off the bounce and very shifty with a good handle, he brings it on both ends of the floor and he can create and make shots from multiple levels.
8) Chancellor Perkins Chancellor Perkins 6'2" | SG Highland | 2025 State VA | 6’1” SG | Highland School (#21 Overall)
Perkins will be in the 2025 class rankings in the next rollout as he reclassified when he transferred from Garfield to Highland School, and another year will do even more wonders for him as he continues to develop. The 6’1” two guard is the classic definition of the position as he is a knock down shooter from deep who moves well off the ball and has deep range, he’s a capable secondary ball handler who makes good decisions and he is a smart lock down defender who is good on the ball and in help side.
7) Alejandro Ford Alejandro Ford 6'5" | SF Woodberry Forest | 2024 State VA | 6’5” SF | Woodberry Forest (#17 Overall)
Ford is a prospect who is well on the rise after a big time showing at the Blue Ridge Live Period Shootout where he showed he has a lot of tools that translate to the next level and still has a lot of room to continue to improve. He has great size on the wing and is a natural athlete who can play above the rim, he’s an excellent defender who moves his feet and has good hands and is a good help side defender too and he can drill it from deep on kick outs while also attacking closeouts and getting downhill.
6) Elijah Kelly Elijah Kelly 6'5" | SF Miller School | 2025 State #235 Nation VA | 6’5” SF | Radford (#16 Overall)
When it comes to upside, there aren’t many in SWVA who have the amount that Kelley does if he continues to improve and become more consistent. He’s a super long lefty who checks all the boxes from a physical standpoint on the wing, he can put it on the deck and create shots for himself and others and he can knock down shots from deep when he’s left open or on the step back as well. Defense will be the key for him moving forward, as he has all the tools to be a versatile lock down defender on the perimeter.
