UAA Session III is in full swing at Lake Point Sports Center South, just outside of Atlanta. In this article I’ll break down the top performers I saw on Thursday in the afternoon part of the day.

[player_tooltip player_id="1505927" first="Christian" last="Sanson"], 6’9 PF Spire (OH) 2023 All Arkansas Red: Sanson is a guy I knew nothing about going into this game and left very intrigued with his game. At 6’9, he moves like a wing and has some tough shot-making ability. Sanson plays with a lot of swagger and wasn’t afraid to go at the 7’3 C on the opposing team. With his movement skills and size, it’s likely Sanson will play Division I basketball before it’s all said and done. This is a long term project that low and mid majors will want to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id="848089" first="Collin" last="Tanner"], 6’5 SG Wayne Country Day (NC) 2023 Team Curry: Tanner shot the ball well from the outside, moving quickly and using his fast release to get shots up in a hurry. Tanner moved when his guards attacked the rim or his bigs were doubled in the post. I left the game as a fan of Tanner’s game in my first viewing of him.

[player_tooltip player_id="848087" first="Silas" last="Demary Jr"], 6’3 PG Combine Academy (NC) 2023 Team Curry: Demary has high major offers and proved his talents in a big victory over Grand Park Premeir. Demary stays low when attacking the basket, using his quickness to get around defenders and sealing an edge to the rim. Demary was efficient around the basket and used his driving gravity to kick to open shooters.

[player_tooltip player_id="1284436" first="Carey" last="Booth"], 6’10 C Cherry Creek (CO) 2023 KC Run GMC: Booth is the son of Denver Nuggets GM and former Columbus high school legend Calvin Booth. After a rise up the national rankings, I was quite interested to see how Carey had developed. I left impressed with the flashes he showed me, with a couple powerful dunks and a few swats as well. Booth moves well for a center his size and should be able to switch onto guards and hold his own. With his length and vertical there’s tremendous upside as a shot blocker and play finisher. Booth looked the part of a top 100 prospect in his grade and has high major programs fighting for his commitment.

[player_tooltip player_id="967379" first="Parker" last="Friedrichsen"], 6’2 SG Bixby (OK) 2023 KC Run GMC: Friedrichsen might be the best shooter in the country, and if he isn’t he’s at least in the conversation. Friedrichsen on the first three possessions of the game knocked down 3-pointers that didn’t even touch the net. He’s a bit undersized to play the off guard position, but provides enough on-ball value with his handle and self creation skills that if paired with a bigger ball handler it will work at the high major level.
