The third live period brought out size and skill to the low post position. We have rim protectors, high post distributors, and high motor prospects with translatable skillsets to talk about. Below are 20 prospects for the four or the five at the next level.

<img class="alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1508127" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/07/IMG_0226-150x150.jpg" alt="[player_tooltip player_id="1431895" first="Khareem" last="Thompson"] | The Traveling Hoopers" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="1431895" first="Khareem" last="Thompson"] | M24 Legends 2023

Thompson is still you in the game, yet the 6’8 big man is productive and physical. He’s footwork and finishing have improved since his last circuit outing. His battle against an athletic combo forward showed his willingness to protect the rim, growth as a player, and upside.

<img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1508148" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/07/IMG_0234-150x150.jpg" alt="[player_tooltip player_id="1139551" first="Luke" last="Wagstaff"] | The Traveling Hoopers" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="1139551" first="Luke" last="Wagstaff"] | Team Daum 2023

Wagstaff is a smooth 6’8 forward receiving interest from D3 programs. Between his size and ballerina’s feet, he creates out of the low post. He’s a really good passer with the IQ and vision to find teammates where ever he is on the court. If you’re looking for a skilled big with a great feel for the game, Wagstaff has what you’re looking for.

[player_tooltip player_id="1091930" first="Trevone" last="Palmer"] | Auburn Raptors 2024

Palmer is the shortest player on this list at 6’4 yet he’s one of the most athletic. He finished around the rim against bigger post players and finished above the rim on the break. Length and athleticism make up for some of the height he’s missing.

<img class="alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1447322" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/05/IMG_8918-1-rotated-e1651775010592-150x150.jpg" alt="[player_tooltip player_id="1444957" first="Shedrach" last="Makanjuola"] | The Traveling Hoopers" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="1444957" first="Shedrach" last="Makanjuola"] | HBSA 2023

Makanjuola is tough with next level athleticism. The 6’8 combo forward has a well developed frame that he uses to finish above and around the rim. He’s a tenacious face up attacker with the straight line driving to create mismatches for defenders with the size needed to check him.

[player_tooltip player_id="1462159" first="Dante" last="Favor"] | Top 1 Basketball

Favor is always a favorite for me with the combination of 6’7 size and handle. He fights for position on the block, can take rebounds coast to coast, and rebound outside of his area. There’s a lot of versatility to like in the rising senior’s games.

Jaquay Randolph | Tallahassee Thunder

Randolph is a sleeper unsigned senior with 6’9 size. Swift feet, midrange shooting, and rebounding are all parts of the game he excels at. He’s another big man prospect that can facilitate out of the high post.

<img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1509305" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/07/IMG_0214-rotated-crop-480x316-1657656828-150x150.jpg" alt="[player_tooltip player_id="1285495" first="Malcolm" last="Morris"] | The Traveling Hoopers" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="1285495" first="Malcolm" last="Morris"] | EG10

Morris is a great target out of the pick and roll. The big body 6’7 forward knows how to dive to the basket where he can finish against contact and draw fouls. He has range out to three, rebounds his area, and flashes an ability to lead the break.

[player_tooltip player_id="1159181" first="Trey’Dez" last="Green"] | LA Broncos 2024

Green is everything you’re looking for in a modern four. He’s 6’7, has a range out to the three, and has a bunch of ways to score out of the post. The 2024 prospect is a big time athlete that can finish above the rim, block shots, and run the floor in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id="1288908" first="Gage" last="Kampman"] | Iowa Barnstormers 2024

Kampman is a mobile 6’7 forward. He can attack other bigs with his dribble, pass out of the post, and finish with both hands.

[player_tooltip player_id="1476936" first="Asher" last="Wade"]| Iowa Barnstormers 2024

Wade completes the Barnstormers 2024 twin towers. He’s a physical finisher that gets to the free throw line. He rebounds well for a 6’7 forward.
