Trey’dez Green put his extraordinary combination of work ethic, skill, athleticism, and size on full display. His dominance in the paint, offensive versatility, and defensive impact solidified his reputation as one of the nation’s most dominant high school basketball players. Green won majority of his battles down low when establishing his post presence, repeatedly posting up or relocating while opening himself up for the ball. As a 6’8″ forward, Tre’dez showcased remarkable agility and explosiveness. Incredibly powerful finisher at the rim, he used his size and athleticism to overpower defenders and throw down thunderous slam dunks all over his defender. Green also proved to be an undeniable lob threat due to his quick bounce, reaction, and ability to go get the ball at its peak. Defensively, Green’s length allows him to protect the rim and alter shots at a consistent rate, making it challenging for his opponents to score in the paint often forcing them to settle for jumpshots. This lockdown defender not only shut the paint down but also displayed good perimeter defensive instincts by utilizing his wingspan and lateral quickness to limit the outside scoring of the opposing guards. Tremendous rebounder, the Louisiana prospect consistently outworked everyone on the floor to secure boards due to his knack for covering ground with a single jump.

At the high school level Trey’Dez Green is an athletic freak of nature. You just don’t see many 6’7 guys that can move like he does, especially considering he’s also 230 pounds. One of the best two-sport athletes in the country, Green was dominating the paint with his impressive body control and touch off the glass to finish just about anything inside. Ran the floor like a deer and threw down some high flying dunks in transition as well. When teams defended him with size he was able to step out to the perimeter and dribble into a mid-range jumper. Gets good elevation on his shot making it even harder to contest. Has the athleticism to play out on the perimeter, but the physical tools to dominate in the paint and rebound at a high level. Never have to question his work ethic either, as he was always playing harder than anyone on the floor, and it showed with how hard he competes for every rebound/loose ball.

This was the first time I had been able to see Trey’Dez play and the hype was definitely deserving. He stands at 6-foot-8 and was the most athletic player I saw in the entire event. He was throwing dunk after dunk on Saturday, being unstoppable when he got a full head of steam in transition. He was a force on the boards, coming away with contested rebounds on both ends of the floor. He also showed flashes of what he could create for himself off the dribble.

Trey’Dez had to do a lot for his team against a massive AUSA Hoops squad. He spent a lot of the game defending multiple 6’10+ bigs, using his strong frame to limit their quality looks inside, while battling for every rebound he could get a hand on. Never took a play off as he was fighting on every single possession defensively. On the offensive end he started off hot with a three, and multiple tough finishes off the drive showcasing soft touch off the glass from some difficult angles. Flashed his elite athleticism at 6’8 in the second half with an explosive dunk out in transition.

. The 6-foot-8 forward flat-out dominated the weekend on both ends of the floor while his competitiveness brought his team’s energy sky high. Offensively, Green showed another dimension to skill set game after game. His ability to in score in a multitude of ways made him seem unguardable. This lefty couldn’t be stopped down low, he was unphased by any contact in the post, even when double and tripled teamed. Green used his well-polished footwork, brute force, length, and leaping ability to score around anyone. Green controlled the rock well when putting the ball on the floor and getting downhill, he was scary in transition, always sprinting the floor making himself a lob threat, he was also a problem from long range where could get hot after seeing one fall. showed off a knack for timing his block and keeping them in bounds where his teammates could recover them. On the board, there was no boxing him out, he out-jumped everyone in his path and snatched rebounds out the sky the moment they bounced off the rim, high pointing the basketball as if it were a football.
