These guys really brought some real attention their way with how well they lead their teams and did all of the little things to affect the game on both ends of the court.
Trey’Dez Green Trey’Dez Green 6'8" | PF Zachary | 2024 State #54 Nation LA 2024 6’8 East Feliciana High School, LA (LA Broncos 2024)
Trey’dez was probably the best prospect in attendance of the 16U division. He is an athletic freak standing at 6’8 with the ability to move like a guard and throw down dunks like a power forward. I was blown away by his agility on the court paired with his bounce and overall basketball IQ. He moves well and quickly explodes into space with his handle. He knows when to attack the defense in the mid-range or getting downhill when he has the big man out of position and knows no one who is going to step up against him has a chance to stop him. I was very impressed with his consistency with his back to the basket, and showed very consistent post moves and knows to go quickly to catch the defense off guard.
On the defensive side of the ball, Green has all of the tools to effectively defend positions 3-5 at the next level with his ability to move his feet and bump his opponents off their spots down low. He is an intense on ball defender who thrives at using his length to harass ball handlers, even when switching onto them for a short period of time. Green is a prospect that you need to remember the name and be sure to keep tabs on over the next two years! He is a five star football player, and is ranked #1 Tight End in Louisiana, as well as the #1 ranked forward in his class. There are very few specimen that have the tools to even attempt to play basketball and football at the division one level, and Green seems to be in that class. With his ferocity on the court, I know I would not want to see him coming across the middle!
Koreyan Davis Koreyan Davis 6'6" | SF North Crowley | 2024 State TX 2024 6’5 North Crowley High School, TX (Tarrant Elite 2024)
Koreyan is an incredible athlete who has the ability to play small ball center, but has enough guard skills to play the wing role or combo guard spot if necessary or attack off the bounce with his size and prowess with a live dribble. He is an increasingly more confident ball handler, getting downhill with his handle to finish at the rim. He is great at getting in front of smaller guards and sealing them off from having a chance to contest his shot. I was very impressed with his ability to score from all three levels of the floor. He is a confident shooter out of the corners, and uses the triple threat well to create space within the half court.
Davis is an incredibly dominant player because of his ability to play on the defensive end of the floor, he has active hands and uses all of his athletic ability to wreak havoc on defense. He put his body on the line to draw charges, but is an elite rim protector as the tallest player on his team. Whether he was poking the ball free from his opponents or rejecting shots in the paint, Davis always had his hands involved in the play. I also loved his ability to go coast to coast after forcing a turnover or block!
Tanner Braketa Tanner Braketa 6'1" | PG Ralston Valley | 2025 State #285 Nation CO 2025 6’2 Ralston Valley High School, CO (B&B Academy 2024 Black)
Tanner is a high level guard, who is very well deserving of the PrepHoops #1 Ranking of the 2025 Class in Colorado. While he is not the most athletic prospect, he is great at playing with tempo and manipulating the defense with a live dribble. I was very impressed with his complete three level attack of the floor, confidently shooting from beyond the arc off the catch, and pulling up for a soft floater or a quick pull up in the mid-range. He is a real weapon with his mid-range jumper, constantly punishing the defense after making his first man miss with a simple head-fake.
His complete offensive arsenal pairs well for his ability to create separation with his drive and kick. He is a smooth operator with the ball in traffic, constantly making good decisions and finding his teammates open on the backside of the defense after drawing the entire defense’s attention. Defensively, he is a very smart on ball defender who knows how to attack his opponents live dribble, timing up steals and running the other way on the fast break. He angled his defenders and forced them off their spots and made them adjust their shot angles. He closed out well on the perimeter and was an active help defender in the paint when necessary.
Jae’Coby Osborne Jae’Coby Osborne 6'6" | SF Bella Vista Prep | 2024 State #241 Nation AZ 2024 6’5 Fort Bend Elkins High School, TX (F.F.E. Fresno Flyers Elite)
Jae’Coby is a prospect that has made a tremendous leap this summer, calmly and confidently developing all aspects of his game. He has the ability to affect the game on the interior and play the small ball forward for his team, allowing them to play five out. He affects the game like a more skilled and effective Draymond Green, handling the ball on the perimeter and running the pick and roll as the ball handler or the screener. He is a good screener allowing his guards to have a second longer to set their feet and score beyond the arc. Where I have seen the most development since the beginning of the summer was his ability to score off the bounce in the mid-range and attacking the basket. He looks even more confident with his handle and his ability to turn the corner on his opponent and get to the rim with his strong frame. His shot from beyond the arc has dramatically improved as well, going 4-5 in the first half of the game I watched, including a first half buzzer beater.
Defensively, he knows how athletic he is and how well he can use his ability to leap to fight on the interior. He constantly outworks bigger opponents, boxing them out and sealing them off. I was very impressed with how many rebounds he collected, or tapping it out to his guards. I was very impressed with how well he defended the perimeter, or anchored his defense from the paint. He quickly closed out on opponents and ensured that he cut off their angles.
John Clark 2025 6’7 Klein Cain High School, TX (TJ Ford Basketball 2024)
John is a high level forward with all of the natural skill to become a dominant weapon at the next level, if he continues to develop foot speed and agility he can be an incredible slashing wing, or continue to fill out as a hard working forward. He is great at high pointing the ball as he collects rebounds or protects the rim. I was very impressed to watch him work defensively, routinely blocking shots by simply staying vertical. His size is a tremendous asset for him, and he uses his blend of strength to out work his opponents as he boxes them out and seals them off on both ends of the court. He easily had over 12 rebounds in under the first ten minutes of play in the first game I saw him play in this weekend. He has a natural ability to jump multiple times to finish tip ins, or out leap an opponent for a defensive rebound.
Offensively, he runs the floor hard, both with and without the basketball for easy rim running opportunities. He displayed an impressive and confident handle for his size, going behind the back and crossing over a defender in the open court. He loves to push the tempo after a defensive rebound, whether that is with his handle or his outlet pass. I was very impressed with his post moves, showing off a high level drop step that he used to split two defenders, as well as a soft bunny hook. I would like to see him work on his intensity as he moves without the basketball, he is good at suddenly changing his pace and quickly sealing off a defender, but I would like to see him go get the ball and operate more out of the triple threat on the perimeter. Clark has all the tools to really affect the game across all three levels, and truly on both sides of the court.
