The two-day event, with players from the classes of 2023 through 2026, had plenty of well-known names to Southern California basketball followers and some players looking to put their names on that radar. In this piece we take a look at some of the top prospects we saw.
Shamar Jones, 2025, Southern California Academy – Jones is a smooth three-level scorer who has an impressive isolation feel for his age. The 6-foot-5 rising sophomore has the ability to get to his spots off the bounce and rise up over the defense for a pull-up jumper. When the jumper isn’t there, Jones uses his combination of strength and athleticism to get to the rim and finish through or over contact.
Steven Evans-Glynn, 2025, Leuzinger – It seemed like Glynn was shot out of a cannon in all of his camp games. The high motor 6-foot-2 guard flashed his elite downhill speed and finishing ability through contact while also showing he had the first step and second gear to get by defenders in the half-court and get to the rim. Glynn’s motor also showed on the defensive end where he applied ball pressure and made ball handlers uncomfortable.
Ty Ingram, 2026, San Ysidro – This was our first good look at Ingram, and, after hearing a lot of good things about his game, we came away impressed with his offensive repertoire. The incoming freshman at San Ysidro has an advanced scoring package and feel, led by his hesitations and ability to change speeds on a dime. Ingram’s stop and go ability helps him get into the lane where he can finish over length, but his best trait might be his pull up jump shot.
Will Smith, 2023, Bishop Montgomery – Smith is a regular at Fullcourt Press and Pangos events and it’s always good to see him in the gym because you know he will do the little things to try and help his team win. The rising senior is a physical on-ball defender who can guard multiple positions. His offense is expanding from catch-and-shoot three guy to a transition slasher ad finisher.
Zyier Beverly Zyier Beverly 6'7" | SF Washington Prep | 2023 State CA-S , 2023, Washington Prep – Beverly has all the physical and athletic tools of a high major prospect. At 6-feet-8 with broad shoulders, length and quick, explosive leaping ability off the hardwood, Beverly has garnered Division 1 college interest due to his upside and potential. The rising senior is best when running the floor in transition and using his physical gifts to catch, gather and finish through contact.
