Dee Bothwell Dee Bothwell 5'9" | PG Muskegon | 2025 State MI (2025, PG, BNB 2025, Muskegon, MI)
Bothwell is making himself seen this month. He showed that he can shoot with consistency from behind the arc, as he drilled 15 3’s in the first 4 games.
Kaden Brown Kaden Brown 5'10" | PG Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2023 State MI (2023, PG, West Michigan Patriots 2023, Grand Rapids Catholic Central, MI)
Brown has, in my opinion, quietly had one of the best grassroots seasons in the state. His weekend was highlighted by a 21 point game in a tough loss to 94 Feet Elite and a 22 point outburst in a win over MBA Lakeshore.
Jacob DeHaan Jacob DeHaan 6'2" | CG Grand Rapids South Christian | 2023 State MI (2023, CG, MBA Hoop Group 2023, Grand Rapids South Christian, MI)
DeHaan probably hit the clutch shot of all clutch shots in Grand Rapids over the weekend. He bruied a triple to seal the championship for his team. DeHaan finished the game with 22 total points.
Jaden Garwood (2026, F, Lindsey Hunter Elite, UD Jesuit, MI)
Garwood played up at Brawl For The Ball but was certainly able to make his presence felt. Over the weekend, he averaged 24 points per game, 6 rebounds per game, and 4 assists per game.
Trey Hiteshew Trey Hiteshew 6'3" | PG Leo | 2024 State IN (2024, CG, Team Focus Premier 2024, Leo High School, IN)
Hiteshew has some scorer in him and will be a prospect to watch from here on out. He scored with consistency averaging over 17 points a game with individual games of 15 twice, 20 twice, and 17.
Peter Kardasis (2024, SG, North Oakland Wolfpack 16u, Rochester Adams, MI)
Kardasis has hit big shots in high school ball and did it this weekend in grassroots play. He had 19 second half points in a win against WM Lakers Gold 2024.
J’kwon Lewis (2025, CG, Harbor Impact 2025, Benton Harbor, MI)
There always seems to be a group of young players from Benton Harbor with high quality upside. Lewis showed a ton of promise at Braw For The Ball. Lewis showed some very real explosiveness, going off for 37 points in a game.
Kenneth Robertson (2023, G, Motor City Grizzlies 17u, Detroit Cass Tech, MI)
Robertson has been electric with the Grizzlies this summer. He scored 21 in a win against United Persuit and dropped in 32 in loss to GR Storm UA Rise. Robertson attacks the D off the bounce with a quick first step.
Brayden Szamrej Brayden Szamrej 6'2" | PG Hudsonville | 2024 State MI (2024, PG, West Michigan Future 2024, Hudsonville, MI)
Szamrej continues to play high quality basketball. He was his typical stone cold shooting self dropping 29 points with 6 triples in a tight 74-72 win over Indy Heat 2024 – Red.
Noah Vanlaningham Noah Vanlaningham 5'10" | SG Mattawan | 2024 State MI (2024, CG, Strictly Skills 2024, Mattawan, MI)
Vanlaningham was one of the best pure scorers in the gym at Brawl For The Ball. He scored in a variety of ways and at all 3 levels. Vanlaningham had 2 games with 30 plus points and his lowest point output was 23. He continues to shoot up prospect rankings lists.
Jake Vermaas Jake Vermaas 6'2" | SG South Christian | 2024 State MI (2024, PG, Grand Rapids Storm 16u UA Rise, South Christian, MI)
Vermaas mad a big time statement this past weekend. His performance was highlighted by his 19 point 2nd half in the semifinals of the Platinum Bracket, leading his team to a victory.
