A lot of hidden gems have begun to show us that the work they’ve been putting in when no one was watching is beginning to pay off. We will talk about kids who are continuing their summer jumps, as we make our way to the halfway point of AAU season, with the dead period beginning next week.

[player_tooltip player_id="577883" first="Mayar" last="Wol"](Team Loaded 2023) 6’8"

Wol will have a HUGE July! During his summer so far he has racked up some new offers as well, most notably from St. Johns and Rutgers. His ball-handling and shot-making ability is where he has improved the most. His shooting off the dribble has become a thing of beauty as he has gotten more consistent. He has been watching film, senior from Moravian understands how to get to his spots, but his pace has also improved a lot since the end of the High School season. His point-forward ceiling ability is what intrigues me the most. Him becoming an even better distributor of the ball, as he continues to become an even better ball defender. One of the best rim protectors in the State because of his unique wingspan and 6’8" frame and growing.

[player_tooltip player_id="997745" first="Iverson" last="King"](Team Curry 2024) 6’6"

King is apart of one of my favorite AAU duos with [player_tooltip player_id="1180892" first="Sir" last="Mohammed"]. A bouncy guard that has a quick twitch, he is an above-average defender that is active above the rim and makes him much watch if you are in a gym where King is playing. His athletic flashes with his size at 6’6" make him a virtual matchup nightmare. He has such a high ceiling with his impressive play off the ball, knows when to cut, and can also hit shots. Creating off the dribble is the next step in his game. He has power five potential and should be able to find an effective school that would love to have his services in two years. I expect a productive July, but an even bigger high school season.

[player_tooltip player_id="848089" first="Collin" last="Tanner"](Team Curry 2023) 6’6"

The college interest is finally coming in and is well deserved for Tanner a solid two-way player that I believe has the potential to become one of the more elite scorers his senior year. He has ideal size and knows how to use his body to put him in place to succeed. He is one of the better shooters in the State, he continues to become a better shooter and once his off-the-dribble scoring becomes elite he will be virtually unguardable. A lot of Ivy League interest, showing he is more than just an athlete as well.

Isaiah Coleman(Team Loaded 2023) 6’6"

A pull-up pro is what I like to label Coleman as, he is a mid-range maestro and has some of the best pace within the state. Impressive wiggle to his game where he creates a lot of space within his ball handling. He has the innate idea of creating scoring opportunities in the mid-range with his dribbling opportunities. He is an above-average athlete, he has shown his ability to play-make so far this season. He will show how much he has improved as a distributor in the second half of the season. College frame already standing at almost 6’7" with a clutch factor and a stoic nature a lot of kids his age do not have as well.
