Austin Parks Austin Parks 6'9" | C St. Mary's Memorial | 2023 State #166 Nation OH , 6’9 C St Mary’s Memorial 2023 Ohio Buckets Turf: Parks, the future Ohio State Buckeye, was dominant all weekend and won tournament MVP honors for his performance. Parks had his most consistent scoring weekend of the spring, being very efficient on the inside with his size advantage over almost anyone. Parks also showed off his passing skills from the post, routinely hitting an open shooter after being double teamed. If Parks can demand that attention at the next level, his passing ability will really help his offense early in his career.
Baden Forup Baden Forup 6'7" | C Lexington | 2023 State OH , 6’7 C Lexington 2023 Ohio Buckets Miller: Forup was playing for an Ohio Buckets-Miller squad missing two usual starters, and Forup got the chance to shine and ran with it. Forup was knocking down a high percentage of his jumpers and being very active around the basket on both ends. Forup blocked some shots and grabbed some putbacks on the offensive end. Forup really raised his stock this weekend and should be on all Division III radars around Ohio.
Cyan Ervin Cyan Ervin 6'4" | SF Wellston | 2023 State OH , 6’4 SF Wellston 2023 Mid Ohio Pumas Roberts: Ervin and teammate Tanner Holbert Tanner Holbert 5'11" | CG Logan Elm | 2023 State OH were dynamic all weekend, leading their team to the Gold Bracket Semifinal. Ervin shot the ball at a very high level from the outside, as he attacked closeouts and knocked down some one-two dribble pull-ups. Ervin also made the defense pay when their hand was down, hitting some 3’s a few feet behind the line. Ervin is a small school sleeper on a Mid Ohio Pumas squad filled with talent from southeast Ohio.
Carter Reese Carter Reese 6'2" | SG Westerville North | 2023 State OH , 6’2 SG Westerville North 2023 Mid Ohio Pumas Ballinger: Reese had himself a weekend as well, shining for another Pumas squad at the event. Reese is a dynamic guard who can really create space for himself with his handle. Reese also threw some impressive no-look passes throughout the weekend, but his outside shooting is his calling card. Reese is a key member of a Westerville North squad that could surprise some people this winter.
Eian Elmer Eian Elmer 6'6" | SF Taft | 2023 State OH , 6’6 PF Cincinnati Taft 2023 Queen City Prophets: Elmer is a high-flying athlete who threw down the dunk of the weekend off an alley-oop. Elmer looked like a Division I prospect against a bunch of overmatched athletes in the game I watched, looking very physically superior. Elmer also knocked down a few jumpers, including two mid-range pull-ups off the bounce that caught my eye. While Rayvon Griffith Rayvon Griffith 6'6" | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2023 State #78 Nation AZ gets all the attention from Taft, and rightfully so, make sure you also know who Eian Elmer Eian Elmer 6'6" | SF Taft | 2023 State OH is.
