As we head into June high school ball I wanted to take a look at some of the players who are seeing their stock rise up.

We finish with the 2025 class. This is usually the year that sophomores try to get passed JV and move up to varsity. They try to earn that starting spot or be in the real rotation of their coaches top 6-8 players.

2025

[player_tooltip player_id="1217315" first="TayVion" last="Wilson"] Kellis

Not many played better then Wilson the last PrepHoopsAZ tournament. He was firing on all cylinders with dimes, hitting pull-ups from mid to the 3pt line and catching and shooting with real range. He has a next level feel for the game and despite being small, it doesn’t seem to affect him too much.

[player_tooltip player_id="1274847" first="Adam" last="Hubbard"] Paradise Honors

One of the deeper shooters in the class and maybe even the state. He launches it seems from well beyond the volleyball line. He can improve his shot selection moving forward but has the talent. He also rebounds and block shots on the weak side.

[player_tooltip player_id="1371094" first="Quincy" last="Kirk"] Centennial

A confident scoring lead guard with a mature game. He thinks the game and has the skill to go along with it. His mid-range pull-up is next level and he can hit the catch-3. He plays at a controlled pace and makes winning plays.

[player_tooltip player_id="1241538" first="Kai" last="Hogan"] Brophy Prep

A skilled stronger guard shoots the cover off the ball in stretches. He is also tough on the glass and will score on put backs and defend from inside and out.

[player_tooltip player_id="1351132" first="Shay" last="Yarde"] Perry

A quick ball handler has a tight handle and is flashy with speed. He seems to jet by anyone in front of him with his burst of speed and quick first step. He can shoot and score it downhill.

Newcomers

[player_tooltip player_id="1446106" first="Jace" last="Olson"] Gilbert Christian (Pictured)

A sharp shooter who already got quality minutes on varsity as a freshman. He moves without the ball, catches and shoots, cuts to the basket and can dribble drive.

[player_tooltip player_id="1445955" first="Jayden" last="Smith"] Chandler

A defensive pure point guard with speed and a tight handle. He hounds his opponents the length of the court as he can become a true ball hawk. He gets downhill and will shoot it to the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id="1446122" first="Josh" last="Baber"] Estrella Foothills

A scoring guard is playing up for the spring and is fitting right in. He should get more minutes on varsity this year and fill it up beyond the stripe and from mid-range.

[player_tooltip player_id="1446107" first="Dalton" last="Dunnett"] Millennium

A skilled forward who is tough inside and out. He can hit the 3 with success plus drive it to the basket with a decent handle and score through contact. He will defend inside and grab tough rebounds and makes smart plays with the ball to find teammates.
