, 5’11 PG, DeSoto, KC Spurs Black: When looking at pure point guards in this group, Cobin stakes a huge claim at being the best. Cobin has excellent court vision, vocal leadership, high IQ, and plays with dawg him on both ends of the floor. Has improved his 3 point knockdown shooting tremendously over the last half of the high school season and into the spring and has become automatic off the catch or coming off ball screens on the bounce. Torched teams scoring the ball during a state title game run, scoring it from all over the floor. Plays with tremendous pace and control of the game.
#5 Zaxton King Zaxton King 6'2" | SG Lawrence | 2024 State KS , 6’2 G, Lawrence, KC Run GMC: King was a walking bucket this high school seasons, getting to his spots at will from all 3 levels and scoring it at an efficient clip. Has a great burst off the dribble, lateral quickness with the ball, and a good change of pace to put defenders off balance. An athletic guard as well and can get out in transition and make big time plays. Not afraid of big moments in ball games and is lethal the ball in his hands with the space to operate. Scored 21 a game as a sophomore for Lawrence this season.
#6 Mason English Mason English 6'2" | SG Pittsburg | 2024 State KS , 6’2 G, Pittsburg, Victory (Pictured): A guard with size on the perimeter and some physicality. Bursted on to the scene this year after showing flashes prior. A top tier shooter from the perimeter with the ability to attack downhill and create for others. Has a knack for understanding game situations and knowing how to get himself or others great opportunities to score the ball. English’s aggressiveness, craftiness, and shooting ability translates well into the grassroots scene as well.
#7 Tesean Williams Tesean Williams 5'7" | PG Wichita Northwest | 2024 State KS , 5’8 PG, Wichita Northwest, Team Dream 2024: Williams continues to impress after a big spring that followed a eye opening high school season at Northwest. Very crafty and creative off the dribble getting downhill and into gaps understanding where his teammates are when he gets to creating shot opportunities. Williams has a great first step and his quickness puts defenders at a disadvantage in the open court and his finishing ability in and around the painted area is top tier. Can step into 3s and drill them from the perimeter and continues to shoot it well after a really solid high school season shooting the ball.
