Jlyn Jenkins | Point Guard | Southern Assault 2025
Jlyn Jenkins was the Most Valuable Player for Southern Assault on Championship Sunday, he played with a true will to win and his impact on both ends led Southern all the way to the championship game where their undefeated record came to an end. Not only did Jenkins take and make timely baskets but he also made several big plays on the defensive end as well, constantly getting the ball back for his team and leading the fast break.
Jaden Tanner | Combo Guard | Oklahoma Showtime 2025
On day 3, Tanner couldn’t be contained, there was no stopping this kid, he got to the rack at will and poured in 27 points while shooting 9-of-13 from the foul line, showing a determination to lead his squad to victory however he could. Jaden Tanner proved to be a relentless slasher with all sorts of ways of finishing at the basket. The freshmen guard beat guys with one and two-handed up and unders or reverse layups, he didn’t shy away from body contact either, often looking to initiate in mid-air or on his way up which drew countless foul calls and eventually landed his team in the bonus.
Zayden Best | Point Guard | JEB Elite 2025
Zayden Best was a remarkable bucket getter that helped deliver the two biggest upsets of the tournament by taking down top-seeded Victory Academy in the first round and Southern Assault in the Championship round. Best contributed heavily as a scorer throughout the weekend but his performance in the first round was probably his best. Zayden got extremely hot early and drilled 7 three-pointers from all over the floor, shooting off the catch and the pull-up. Amazing shot creation instincts, skills, and execution, Zayden never needed a pick or any help whatsoever to get to his spot or to get a clean shot up.
Grant Loper & Garrett Loper | Combo Guards | RSE Basketball 2025
Dynamic duo, Grant and Garrett Loper were an exciting two-man show that ate defenders alive. These two took pleasure in exploiting mismatches, an open paint, and one-on-one situations, especially if there wasn’t any help backing the defender up the Loper Brothers were sure to take it all the way to the rack, and anyone that attempted to step up, they stepped around with smooth footwork for a fantastic finish. Grant Loper showed a knack for scoring the bulk of his points on the drive-by turning his body to protect the ball while completing the tough shot with an off-leg layup. Garrett Loper destroyed some of the best defenders with crafty footwork and a spectacular layup package along with a handful of hop step moves that had the crowd going wild.
