While the bulk of the field featured local Texas teams, there are some Oklahoma teams that made the trip south. Here’s a look at a handful of Oklahoma prospects that stood out.
Oklahoma Flight 2025
Logan Knol Logan Knol 6'6" | SF Edmond North | 2025 State OK , 6’5 Hybrid Forward, Edmond North
If the high motor freshman had enrolled at just about any other high school in the state, Knol would’ve been one of the more productive freshmen in Oklahoma this past winter. But on a deep Edmond North team with plenty size, he had a relatively quiet winter but is making lots of noise this spring. His productivity is most notable on the glass, especially on the offensive end. Knol is also stating to show improved ability as a driver and perimeter player. He has good body control when in traffic and understanding how mixing his strength with changes of pace can help him finish. A promising sign for his ability to continue to develop perimeter skills was when he moved his feet on a quicker guard he was covering and finished that defensive rep with an empathic block.
Mehki Thomas, 6’0 Guard, Hefner Middle School
Playing up in the 15U division, Thomas is the younger brother of Micah Thomas, a Class of 2019 Putnam City North. The elder Thomas had an outstanding prep career, and if fresh off a double digit scoring season at Indiana State. The younger Thomas already looks he’ll be quicker and more explosive than his older brother, complete with a similar “ball on a string” type handle. Mix in the occasional high level pass and the Class of 2026 guard never looked out of place playing among 2025 prospects.
Spencer Cougars 2025
Trashawn Gosby, 5’7 Guard, Moore
Quick off the bounce, in traffic Gosby can break out of a good floater. He’s able to get by the initial defender thanks to great suddenness when he changes direction with strong hesitation moves and overall handle. While his floater is good, he still can be too head down when driving. Especially as a smaller guard he needs to continue to expand his court vision and look to create more for others when he draws a crowd at the rim.
Jaden Johnson, 6’0 Guard, Del City
Johnson is a quick guard with good wingspan that allows him to be play bigger than his size, especially on the defensive end. He also already is filling out with a good muscle on his frame for younger guard, and flashed some playmaking ability when driving.
Tony Jeffries, 6’5 Forward, Yukon
The most productive player for the Cougars in their Saturday afternoon win was the big man in the middle. He uses his strength to carve out space around the rim, where he thrived as a finisher with good touch. Jeffries was extra effective as an offensive rebounder. The big man even stepped out and drilled a midrange jumper late in the contest.
