Schools across the Garden State are winding down as the second week of May is here. Prospects across New Jersey are set to make a big impact this summer, especially the 2024 class. The forward group has talent, but also a group with a lot to prove. Here are the 2024 forwards with the most to prove this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="1213560" first="Savod" last="Godwin"], 6’5 SF Arts

Godwin is an intriguing forward prospect as he is capable of playing both the three and the four. The 6’5 forward plays with a nonstop motor at both ends of the floor, making him a tough person to box out. Godwin uses his body well down low as he is able to carve out space down low and draw contact around the basket. He is a solid finisher and moves well off the ball. Godwin is a gritty, forward prospect whose ability to do the little things will help his stock in a big way.

[player_tooltip player_id="1153968" first="Alex" last="Konov"], 6’7 PF Manasquan

Konov is a forward prospect to watch with his ability to play on the perimeter. The 6’7 forward has a nice release on his jumper and can make opponents pay for giving him space on the perimeter. Konov can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. He is an underrated passer and slides his feet well on the defensive end. Konov is a stretch-four prospect who has the opportunity for a strong 2022 summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="1050390" first="Dylan" last="Seay"], 6’5 PF St. John Vianney

Seay is a dual-sport athlete for the Lancers and has the potential for a big summer. The 6’5 forward has a strong frame, which he uses to get position down low and finish through contact. Seay can also play on the perimeter as he has a decent handle and beat his defender off the bounce. He is a solid passer and is tough to box out on both ends of the floor. Seay is a physical forward whose ability to make plays around the basket will help his stock.

[player_tooltip player_id="1050407" first="Owen" last="Griffin"], 6’4 SF St. Joe’s Metuchen

Griffin is a forward to watch with his ability to make plays at both ends of the floor. The 6’4 wing attacks the basket with a purpose as he is a strong finisher and is capable of finishing through contact. Griffin is more than just a slasher as he can also make shots on the perimeter and sets good screens in the halfcourt. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and has the ability to defend multiple positions. Griffin is a skilled, two-way forward who should have a strong summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="1273936" first="Daniel" last="Yarus"], 6’6 SF Spotswood

Yarus is set to make a big impact this summer with his ability to play both the three and the four. The lanky 6’6 forward is comfortable playing on the perimeter as he can put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. Yarus has a good shooting stroke and shoots the ball with confidence from deep. He is an underrated shot-blocker and rips down rebounds on both ends. Yarus has the chance to shoot up the rankings with his ability to play on the perimeter.
