I was in attendance all weekend watching the 15Us at Triton Central, and I was able to see some of the best talent from teams across the entire country. Let’s take a look at the Wisconsin standouts that I saw this past weekend.
Zach Behn – 6’3” SF – Kewaskum (Chapman Basketball Academy Gold Elite)
Behn is your traditional three-and-D guy with a good amount of size on the defensive end of the floor. He walls up and makes it tough on the offensive players. On the offensive end, he was absolutely lights out from the outside with four triples. He never hesitates to let it fly, and he does not seem to miss on the catch and shoot.
Maddox Cornette – 6’6” SF – Bay Port (Team 1848)
Cornette is a big stretch forward who has a ton of size and length. He uses his length well in the post and showed off some nice footwork on his post moves and touch around the rim. He also stepped out and knocked down shots from the mid-range and from three. Cornette has a ton of potential, and he is going to be a big difference-maker in the coming years’ thanks to the size and offensive ability that he already possesses.
Roan Demovsky – 5’9” PG – De Pere (Team 1848)
Demovsky is a true pass-first point guard who played an excellent inside-outside game with Cornette. His vision was outstanding, and he had a nice mix of distributing vs attacking. He also never seemed to force, and he had his eyes up on every single drive to the hole. He is going to be a very good point guard throughout the entire duration of his career.
Jay Johnson Jay Johnson 6'4" | SF Stoughton | 2025 State WI – 6’1” SG – Stoughton (Wisconsin Academy Thompson)
Johnson is a bigger guard who put his athleticism on full display. He had a steal and a nice fastbreak jam to help spark a comeback late in the ball game. Johnson also knocked down a big triple late. His athleticism and shooting ability will make him a player to keep an eye on in the coming years for sure.
Arthur Nelson – 6’1” SG – Monona Grove (Wisconsin Academy Thompson)
Nelson is a guard with good size, and he seemed to be absolutely everywhere on the court in this one. He was always hustling and making plays. On the offensive end, he looks to get to the rim and can finish strong around the bigger defenders.
Tommy O’Hagan – 6’0” SG – Homestead (Chapman Basketball Academy Gold Elite)
O’Hagan is a nice spot-up three guy who can shoot the cover off of the ball. He hit a pair of triples and a nice little pull-up jumper in transition. He also showed off a solid take to the rim and finished with his left. Overall, he could be a very good scorer, and as he continues to develop, his attacking is going to improve for sure which will just make him more dangerous.
Alexander Thomas – 6’6” PF – Martin Luther (Chapman Basketball Academy Gold Elite)
Thomas is a big southpaw forward who makes his living in the paint. He has good touch around the rim, and his toughness in the paint coupled with his size makes him tough to stop on post touches. Thomas also stepped out and knocked down a triple. A consistent outside shot for Thomas will just make him tougher to defend throughout his career.
Calen Woerth – 6’0” PG – Monona Grove (Wisconsin Academy Thompson)
Woerth is a pass-first point guard who was getting his teammates involved all game. He sees the floor incredibly well and always has his eyes up looking to distribute to the open man. On the defensive end of the floor, he sits down and guards well too. Good weekend from Woerth for sure.
