<p>Some 2022s were in Lawrence, still hoping to catch on with a college or looking to keep their skills sharp. It was a great spring showcase for those seniors. Here are some 2022s who stood out in Lawrence (in alphabetical order):</p> <p>Isaac Berry, 6-foot-2 guard, 2022, Little Elm HS, Team ESBY:</p> <p>Berry is a selfless distributor who loves to drop soft passes to teammates. He can fit the ball through some small windows. He is a long, athletic point guard who shows an accurate perimeter shot, but he’s more prone to push the ball quickly up court to create an easy bucket.</p> <p>Isaiah Braynen, 6-foot-2 guard, 2022, Life Prep, Hunt United Basketball:</p> <p>The native of the Bahamas is a tweener who is powerful enough to bang in the lane and skilled enough to run the point. He fed some nice passes to bigs off the pick and roll. Braynen has good hands on defense and produced some runouts off steals.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="973583" first="Evan" last="Clayton"], 6-foot-4 guard, 2022, Arcadia HS, Arizona Select Unsigned (pictured):</p> <p>Clayton is a long guard who excels at on-ball defense and contests shots. He pushes the ball up the court and creates space to pull up for jumpers off the bounce. He has a nice shot from beyond the arc too.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="889508" first="Ty" last="Henry"], 6-foot-3 guard, 2022, Seaman HS, SSA Hoops Elite Black:</p> <p>Henry is a big guard who can create shots for teammates by getting the ball into the lane and dishing it out. He also has a dependable jumper after backing a smaller defender into the paint. Henry sees the floor and is an unselfish distributor.</p> <p>Aiden Partee, 6-foot-3 forward, 2022, McKinney North HS, Team ESBY:</p> <p>Partee is a scorer, straight and simple. He gets to the goal relentlessly, knifing through defenses and soaring around and over defenders to get shots off. He combines length, explosiveness and speed running the floor to score in bunches.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="701238" first="Garrison" last="Phelps"]. 6-foot-6 forward, 2022, St. Marys Catholic HS, Arizona Select Unsigned:</p> <p>Phelps shot the lights out when given the chance at Lawrence. He’s a huge wing who is tough to deny his spot on the floor and an open look. He’s a load in the paint and on the glass too.</p>
