Seven wing prospects who impressed in Appleton at Madness In The Midwest!

Aidan Chislom (6’5 2023 SF, Wisconsin Academy)- Aidan is a physically advanced prospect with impressive versatility on the defensive end. In the game I watched he was comfortable switching to defend every spot on the floor, which made defending screens much easier for his team. Good mobility for his size at 6’5 and showcased some shot blocking ability. On the offensive end he has the strength and body control to finish through contact, and found ways to get to the rim in transition and attacking from the wing. Also showed a nice looking shot from beyond the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id="1200545" first="Tristan" last="McRoberts"] (6’6 2022 W, Playmakers South)- At 6’6 Tristan was doing a little bit of everything for Playmakers South. The unsigned senior ran the point for his team, and also did the bulk of the scoring. At his size he was a mismatch nightmare because he handles the ball so well, but can also take smaller wings down to the block and operate in the post. Has a dangerous turnaround jumper, which combined with his length and high release point is so difficult to contest. Tristan knocked down shots from three and made some nice passes to cutting teammates out of the block.

[player_tooltip player_id="1392723" first="Kairee" last="Gadson"] (6’2 2023 W, Minnesota Lightning)- Kairee is a powerful slasher who plays a little bit bigger than his size at 6’2. If he saw a lane to the rim, he was going to attack, and his strong frame allowed him to power through traffic and finish at a high rate. He’s not just a powerful finisher though as he showcased some touch to spin the ball in off the glass. Tough rebounder who’s not going to cough up the ball once he gets it in his possession.

Marquise Walker (6’2 2025 W, Pride Roc)- Marquise has a long and wiry frame that fits right into the high pressure defense that Pride Roc 15u likes to play. His team was full court pressing the whole game, with Marquise utilizing his long arms to make crosscourt passes difficult. Marquise was tipping pass attempts and picking guards’ pockets to get going the other way. Early in the first half he picked up two or three transition lay-ups just based off of his defensive effort. In the half-court he showed some potential attacking off the dribble, but most of his scoring was from put-backs or transition finishes. Really intriguing frame to build on.

Charlie Geske (6’3 2024 SF, Milwaukee Trail Blazers)- Brookfield Central just seems to pump out prospects each year, and Charlie Geske is one of the up and comers in their program. Playing with the Milwaukee Trail Blazers, he showcased a composed play style on the offensive end. Really patient with the ball and didn’t force anything. Ran the floor well for transition buckets while also knocking down a pair of threes. Defensively he seemed to always be in the right spots off the ball, which allowed him to jump passing lanes to pick up steals on multiple occasions.

EJ Holt (6’3 2023 W, All Wisconsin AAU)- The effort and energy that EJ brings to the floor was contagious for his team. He embraced the challenge of defending a high level guard on Sunday, and was making things difficult for him all game long. EJ is a vocal leader but also leads by example with his constant effort. Not afraid to get on the floor for a loose ball either. Offensively he’s a tough finisher at the rim who can pull in offensive boards or attack with a straight line drive.

[player_tooltip player_id="1289108" first="Diesel" last="Bosin"] (6’1 2023 SG, E2E Elite)- Diesel was one of the better shooters I saw over the weekend, as he has a quick release and no shortage of confidence. His range extended to well beyond the arc, and he did a nice job of getting his feet set before catching the ball so he could quickly get into his shot before his defender closed out on him. Bosin gets good elevation on his jumper and his form remained consistent from range.
