A list of the top point guard prospects from this past weekend at the Chi-Town Tip Off:

[player_tooltip player_id="939050" first="Darrin" last="Ames"] -- Mac Irvin Fire -- 2023

Ames was already a big name in the 2023 class. But after his play this past weekend, he should see his stock skyrocket. Ames is an athletic point guard who has a game built around versatility. He shoots it well, can pass, and is a phenomenal slasher. At the college level, Ames could develop into a really good player.

Justin Bowen -- Team Rose 3SSB -- 2025

Bowen really made a statement this weekend while playing for Team Rose. In a matchup against M14 Hoops on Saturday, Bowen was rolling on all cylinders. He made some really tough threes and finished through contact at the rim. The point guard has a really strong build for his position, and he uses this size to find success on both ends.

[player_tooltip player_id="1210394" first="KJ" last="Vasser"] -- All In Athletics -- 2022

Any college programs still searching for a point guard in the 2022 class should really take a good look at Vasser. He is a solid overall prospect who performed really well in Chicago this past weekend. I was impressed with how well he balanced passing and scoring.

[player_tooltip player_id="1252217" first="Kaden" last="Magwood"] -- Mac Irvin Fire -- 2023

Magwood looks to be the real deal. The Mac Irvin Fire point guard is a playmaking prospect that makes everyone around him so much better. Playing with a lot of other talented prospects, Magwood knows when to pick his spots. Ranked as a top five prospect in Kentucky’s 2025 class, expect big things from Magwood the rest of this spring.

[player_tooltip player_id="939059" first="Jalen" last="Griffith"] -- Team Rose 3SSB -- 2023

Griffith is very dangerous when he has the ball in his hands. The Team Rose 3SSB point guard is able to make plays in many different ways. On Sunday, I thought that he did a wonderful job of slashing to the rim and finishing some tough layups. He is just a true playmaker. He is a little bit smaller for a point guard, but Griffith doesn’t let this limit him.

Brayden Fagbemim -- Illinois Attack -- 2023

I loved how Fagbemim was able to make plays for his teammates in Chicago. The point guard is always super patient, never trying to force passes or shots. He plays at his own pace and is very opportunistic. A very good ball handler with tremendous court vision, Fagbemim was giving defenders fits all weekend. As a scorer, the Illinois Attack prospect was very efficient and effective.

James Prescott -- Illinois Elite -- 2023

Prescott was absolutely phenomenal all weekend. Leading Illinois Elite to a 3-1 record on the weekend, the point guard couldn’t be stopped as a scorer. He scored from everywhere, in all different types of ways. I thought that he did a nice job of making plays in the paint, as he uses speed to blow by his defender at get layups. He also proved to be very dangerous as a midrange scorer.
