<p>The new Prep hoop 2024 Rankings are out. There’s been a lot of movement up and down in our new rankings. With the restrictions lifted PH was able to get into more areas of NorCal to see and evaluate prospects. Here are the top stock risers in this quality group of 2024 players.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1253212" first="Jordy" last="McKenzie"] 6’4 PG, SG, of Pinole Valley</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>McKenzie</strong></em> is a big guard with good handles to push and pass up in transition. He has the vision to spot open shooters on the wings and in the post. He’s a good finisher in the paint with a nice jumper getting it up high, he has a good touch around the rim. He can play both guard positions knowing when to switch gears. His 3pt shot is there, he made 7, 3ptrs in a game while PH was in attendance. #8 to 4.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1264595" first="Jase" last="Butler"] 6’4 G/F of Branson</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>Butler</strong> </em>is a rising prospect in NorCal with an improving set of skills for the guard and forward positions. His effect in a game is noticeable. He’s a versatile player, and contributes in many ways on a team 26-5, 12-2. At 6’4 he can handle away from the basket, create his own scoring opportunities. He can score inside and out, playing well off two feet in the paint. He can rebound and hit the open 3pt shot. #30 to 9.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1124083" first="Kevin" last="Haupt Jr"] 5’10 PG of Oakmont.</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>Haupt Jr</strong> </em>does more than play point guard on a team that went 19-9, 9-3. He was the teams leading scorer at 28.1pts, an 5asts per game. He’s one of the more efficient guards in this 2024 class. He’s a productive player who can score points in different ways, sets up his teammates with good passing. He loves to have the ball in his hands controlling the flow of the game. He makes good decisions. #18 to 12.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1253214" first="Mateen" last="Rafiq"] 6’0 PG, SG, of El Camino.</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>Rafiq</strong> </em>continues to elevate his game from the guard position, showing he can be productive at both, on and off the ball. He sees the floor, delivers good strong passes, and makes good decisions with the ball. He’s been a consistent shooter off the ball when it comes to knocking down open 3’s. He averaged 14.9pts a game. 6.1rebs, 3.2asts, and 2spg. #16 to 13.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1253241" first="Cole" last="Boake"] 6’3 PG, SG of University.</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>Boake</strong> </em>is a promising prospect with plenty of upside to his game. He’s long, plays with confidence at a good pace. He does an excellent job of involving teammates early, before actively looking to score. He’s good at getting into the paint, being patient, baiting defenders to jump then finishing off of one or two feet around the rim, sometimes drawing the and 1. He’s kind of streaky but can get hot from 3. #17 to 14</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1256558" first="Richard" last="Banks"] 6’3 G/W of Weston Ranch</strong></em></p>
<p>The athletic <em><strong>Banks</strong> </em>has long arms, moves with good speed on the court, and has made rapid progress in his game. He has the foot speed and length to be a top defender who can guard multiple positions 3.3stls a game. He’s improved his offense across the board. His improved ball handling helps him push and pass in the open court 3.8asts, and he’s improved his range out to the 3pt line. 10.7pg, 4.0rebs. #34 to16.</p>
<p><em><strong>Johnathon Chapple 6’0 PG, SG of Albany</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>Chapple</strong> </em>plays with toughness and confidence a guard should have. He’s effective running the point guard position, but shows he can play off the ball and generate points to help his team. He averaged 18.4pts a game. He’s capable of breaking down defenders, getting into the paint for pull up jumpers and will hit open 3’s. From# 58 to 21.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1119263" first="Anthony" last="Lacy"] 6’5 W/F of Oakland</strong></em>.</p>
<p><em><strong>Lacy</strong> </em>a long winged, and active player in the post. He can defend multiple positions. His scoring is limited just averaging under 8pts a game. Not to worry though Lacy defends taller players in the post, goes after every rebound and tries to block as many shot as he can. His offense is coming along right now it’s put backs from working the boards. He’s a good court runner and finisher/follow up guy. 7.6rebs per game. He’s on the Wright’s Watch list. From #33 to 25.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1256617" first="Marcus" last="Robinson"] 6’3 SG of Miramonte</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>Robinson</strong> </em>has shown himself to be solid guard whether coming off the bench or in a starting role. He’s been productive playing both guard positions, showing himself to patient as a facilitator, or actively looking for his shot on the perimeter and in transition. He has good passing skills, a solid mid-range jumper and can knock down 3’s when in rhythm. He has good length to defend on the perimeter. He’s on the Wright’s Watch list. From 37 to 28</p>
<p><em><strong>Will Breall 6’3 SG, CG of Sonoma Valley.</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>Breall</strong> </em>is a big guard with good fundamentals. He’s alert on the defensive side of the ball, with active hands, always in good help position, and gets his hands on loose balls. He runs the court in transition pretty we'll. Breall has a good shot from the 3 point line, making shots from the corners and wings. He averaged 11.1pts, 5.1rebs. He's on the Wright's Watch list #59 to 31</p>
