The class of 2025 has a lot of promise. Here are some players you need to keep a close eye on.

13 [player_tooltip player_id="1361746" first="Brandon" last="Torres"]. 6”4. Portledge

Has a real good frame for a young player. Excellent at setting screens and then can roll hard off that or pop out. Has a smooth jump shot. Keeps possessions alive on the offensive end. Got his feet wet this year and should continue to elevate his game. Good upside.

16. [player_tooltip player_id="1361738" first="Achilles" last="Desmangles"]. 6”2 Xaverian

Achilles is a fearless warrior. He is extremely strong to the hole. Protects the ball well with his body. Changes speed and direction in the open floor. Can push the ball but also can observe the next play in a half court set. Huge upside.

17. [player_tooltip player_id="1403217" first="Jayden" last="Ramirez"] 5”11 Christ the King

A City guard with a lot of confidence. Very smooth ball handler and passer. Super quick downhill but not out of control. Sees the floor and makes the right play.

18 [player_tooltip player_id="1403218" first="Carter" last="Wilson"] 5”10 St John the Baptist

Came up late to varsity. But made an immediate impact. Averaging 9 ppg scoring mostly inside. He draws attention and has the ability to draw fouls. Made 29 free throws converting alot of old school three point plays.

24 [player_tooltip player_id="1403219" first="Chris" last="Williams"] 6”0 St John the Baptist

Can flat out shoot it from deep range. Also came up late to varsity and made an immediate impact. Averaging 7 ppg. Flashy scorer of the ball.

25 [player_tooltip player_id="1361741" first="Kiyan" last="Anthony"] 6”2 Christ the King

Son of Carmelo. Even though his jumper looks like his dads, this young man is his own player. Was on the freshman team this past season and excelled. Really fluid motion on his jumper if it’s inside the line or from deep it is a repeatable motion.

28 [player_tooltip player_id="1361734" first="Johnny" last="Keenan"] 5”9 Iona Prep

Had the pleasure to see this young player in an open gym before the season started. Myself and a low D1 assistant were impressed. In a spirted scrimage he did not back down. Has the ability to run an offense. Excellent handle and weaves his way to the basket. Realizes his position is to distribute the ball and score when the play warrants it.

8 [player_tooltip player_id="1361740" first="Hao" last="Chen"] 6”4 St Francis Prep

Excellent body. Uses his size well. Mixes it up inside. Showed toughness and good post defense. Can score around the rim. Untapped potential as he gains experience.
