The snow has been fierce the last couple of days here in the Midwest. The schools cancelling class, practices, and games has been long to say the least. But for many dedicated teams and players, a no school for a snow definitely didn’t equal a day off from becoming better basketball players and teams. Here are some teams and players that were in action through the snow.

[player_tooltip player_id="1352915" first="Jordan" last="Scott"] (2023, PG) and his Plymouth Christian teammates didn’t take the day off. They got together and stayed fresh with a shoot around. PCA has a lot of talented pieces and is a team to keep an eye on the rest of the season.

Justin Sykes (2025, G, Avondale) was in the gym working on his pull up and jumper and more. The athletic guard is an exciting young player.

[player_tooltip player_id="1300912" first="DONNY" last="YEAGER"] (2024, PG, Nouvel Catholic) and [player_tooltip player_id="1140335" first="MJ" last="YEAGER"] (2024, CG, Nouvel Catholic) can always be counted on to be in the gym. They had a workout and did some form shooting.

[player_tooltip player_id="1170692" first="Trenton" last="Boike"] (2023, PG) and his Genesee Christian squad were in the gym for a shoot around and practice.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076032" first="Andrew" last="Sniesak"] (2023, PF) and his Armada team didn’t take a rest. They were in the gym for a 6PM practice.

[player_tooltip player_id="863922" first="Brady" last="Titus"] (2022, PG, Tri-Unity Christian) is always in the gym. That’s a big reason that he’s one of the most dynamic players in the state.

Darryl Thompkins Jr. (2025, PG, Michigan Collegiate Academy) is an exciting young guard. He’s a gym rat, so of course he didn’t take the day off.

Strictly Skills boys are always in the gym and that didn’t change the last couple of days because of some snow.

[player_tooltip player_id="1296981" first="Brandon" last="Rogers Jr"]. (2025, PG, Crispus Attucks)

Rogers Jr. definitely braved the snow and hit the gym. He’s a super strong athlete with some terrific handles. Rogers Jr. can be a bona fide bucket getter.

Zachy Qader (2022, PG, Northtown Academy) hit the gym despite the weather. He has a nasty shot fake and can really create to his left.

[player_tooltip player_id="1295518" first="Austin" last="Ayite"] (Northtown Academy) was in the gym getting better. He’s a solid, and probably underrated, shooter and scorer.

Taje Harris (2022, PG, Northtown Academy) was improving his game through the weather. He’s a fleet footed and quick guard. Harris’ downhill style puts a lot of pressure on the defense.

[player_tooltip player_id="868264" first="Drew" last="Cook"] (2023, CG, Northview)

All the gyms were closed, but that’s nothing that a shovel and some warm clothes can’t fix, as Cook braved the cold and snow to get a few shots up.
