Tuesday Night Match-Up breaks down the feature game of the evening plus runs you through some other key individual/team match-ups on Tuesday evening!

Game of the Night

This a HUGE night for high school basketball in Minnesota. Just look at all the games listed below as top match-ups! The best of the best games though is DeLaSalle at Columbia Heights. This is a budding rivalry with players that are quite familiar with one another.

Both teams are state title contenders, both teams are athletic, deep in talent, and both will be pumped up and ready to bring the intensity. Love the Travis Bledsoe vs Willie Braziel match-up. Love that the gym will have a great atmosphere. Get your popcorn ready! Here are the match-ups!

Here are the projected line-ups:

PG: ([player_tooltip player_id="958742" first="Terrence" last="Brown"]) vs ([player_tooltip player_id="962218" first="Nasir" last="Whitlock"]). This is [player_tooltip player_id="958742" first="Terrence" last="Brown"], one of the most improved players in the state of Minnesota averaging 24 points a game as the Hylanders playmaker. This is [player_tooltip player_id="962218" first="Nasir" last="Whitlock"], one of the elite lead guards in the junior class and the leading scorer for De.

Two: ([player_tooltip player_id="1284156" first="Jency" last="Davis"]) vs ([player_tooltip player_id="958672" first="Amir" last="Everett"]). Davis and Everett are speedy, ball pressuring role players that are both scoring 7.6 points a game. Everett is a veteran who will pressure with the best while Davis is a younger player that is playing a lot as a sophomore.

Three: ([player_tooltip player_id="850729" first="Muja" last="Burton"]) vs ([player_tooltip player_id="1172835" first="Casmir" last="Chavis"]). Burton has shoved his way into the Mr. Basketball conversation with a 27 point per game season leading CH as Class AAA title contenders. Burton is scoring on three levels. Chavis is a big reason so many of those cameras are on the baseline as he is one of the state's most explosive players. Great match-up.

Four: ([player_tooltip player_id="958666" first="Donnavin" last="Hinsz"]) vs ([player_tooltip player_id="958777" first="Kyle" last="Johnson"]). This is where the teams are different. Johnson is the 4th guard on the floor for the Islanders scoring 11.5 points a game. The Hylanders go big so Hinsz is their four man averaging 9.5 points and six boards a contest. Who has the edge, the bigger team or the team with more guards? We find out tonight.

Five: (Andrew Scoggins) vs ([player_tooltip player_id="958775" first="Brandon" last="Hoban"]). Scoggins has been another really nice surprise. The 6'6 center is scoring ten points a game for the Hylanders. He will go against Hoban, the hard working Islander screener, active rebounder, and hard working defender.

Other Tuesday Options

3AAA Hopkins at 9AAAA Buffalo. Is Buffalo for real? We find out tonight. Is Hopkins a true state contender and a force like they have been over the years? We may find out tonight. Who is in the Lake Conference driver's seat? We find out tonight! Love the [player_tooltip player_id="850738" first="Antonio" last="Bluiett"] vs [player_tooltip player_id="962199" first="CJ" last="O'Hara"] match-up. Top ten teams going at it and Buffalo is undefeated!

2A Cass Lake-Bena at Deer River. Deer River was my preseason pick and I still think they can make the run. One big step would be to defeated the second ranked Panthers who are playing at a high level. [player_tooltip player_id="958848" first="Ty" last="Morrison"]. [player_tooltip player_id="958847" first="Leroy" last="Fairbanks IV"]. Two Class A All State talents who played AAU together. Should be fun.

7AAA Mankato West vs Mankato East at Minnesota State-Mankato. This is a game that I feel like is must see. One of the best high school rivalries in the state, it's going to draw such a strong crowd that they have to put the game at the college. [player_tooltip player_id="958360" first="Mekhi" last="Collins"] vs [player_tooltip player_id="850715" first="BJ" last="Omot"]. Let's go!!!

1AAA Totino-Grace at Robbinsdale Armstrong. Previous Totino-Grace head coach Rob Ware leads his Falcons against the top ranked Eagles who haven't lost a game to a Minnesota team yet. Conference game that should be fin.

Lakeville South at 2AAAA Shakopee. The Cougars. The Sabers. Different veteran cats ready to go at it. [player_tooltip player_id="850717" first="Cade" last="McGraw"], [player_tooltip player_id="850728" first="Nick" last="Katona"], [player_tooltip player_id="850730" first="Sam" last="Fliehe"], and [player_tooltip player_id="774771" first="Avery" last="Mast"] all played together for the Minnesota Fury this year and now they lead their teams in a big game.

4A New York Mills at Henning. Henning is undefeated. New York Mills is undefeated. There are so so so many Class A contenders that a loss in the top ten can only be survived if that loss is to another Class A ranked team. Henning is right there knocking on the door but New York Mills is that angry dad that isn't ready to let their child go on a date yet. Should be a great game.

8AAAA Eastview at Rosemount. The type of game a ranked team like the Lightning go in and win even if they aren't at their best. And a game that Rosemount can win especially with shooter [player_tooltip player_id="796947" first="Caleb" last="Siwek"] in the backcourt.

Simley at Tartan. A pair of one-loss teams in the Metro East. Both teams want to stay on the heels of SSP so this is a near must win when it comes to the conference race.
