The Midweek Round-Up. A look back at what has happened so far this week. Big wins, surprising upsets, some top performers, etc.

The main reason for this article is....I have been in a single room quarantined for almost three days feeling down in the dumps. So I have to go back and figure out what has happened so far this week and I figured, I may as well write about it and share with you what I have found in my DMs, email, mentions, and research from the past two days. Here goes!

Big Wins

Long time friends Andre Phillips and Tyler Biwan coached against one another, nice win for Mound-Westonka beating a ranked Blake squad 57-42.

Good win for Duluth East who had been on a bit of a slip but they came out of it beating a talented Brainerd squad 70-63. I think when the Hounds hit their full stride they can be very dangerous.

CDH beat Mounds View by 22 led by 22 from [player_tooltip player_id="850701" first="Tre" last="Holloman"]. That seems like a statement win right there.

Wayzata over Hopkins was a top five match-up and the Trojans won by a score.

Coon Rapids scored 92 points beating Anoka. Tracking Coach O’s climb leading this program has been pretty fun. Getting better every year.

Sartell had a nice 62-52 win over Alexandria.

Nevis beat Cherry 67-45 making a big statement.

Mankato East might be catching their stride after some early season slip ups. They beat Byron by 34 points last night.

Upsets

I would say the way that Orono has been playing pushing up into the rankings that a Cooper 13 point win was a mild upset. Big league victory for the Hawks.

Rogers knocked off Spring Lake Park in a one score game with four players scoring in double figures as a part of a balanced effort.

On Monday, Farmington knocked off second ranked Shakopee 74-73 giving the Sabers their first loss of the season.

Top Performers

[player_tooltip player_id="962206" first="Max" last="Shikenjanski"] scored 41 leading Stillwater over Roseville by a basket. Max had that game winning basket AND became the all time leading scorer for the Ponies in the process. Congrats to Max!

Elijah Smith had 29 for Coon Rapids in that win over Anoka.

Huge game from [player_tooltip player_id="958641" first="Davion" last="Evans"] scoring 31 as Cooper defeated Orono. Evans is a speedy guard capable of scoring 20 plus on any given night.

[player_tooltip player_id="958742" first="Terrence" last="Brown"], [player_tooltip player_id="958666" first="Donnavin" last="Hinsz"], and [player_tooltip player_id="850729" first="Muja" last="Burton"] combined to score 76 points with Brown and Hinsz each totaling 26 and Burton 24.

[player_tooltip player_id="958689" first="Brady" last="Spaulding"] had 27 leading Annandale over Rockford in a ranked match-up of top ten teams.

[player_tooltip player_id="962212" first="Boden" last="Kapke"] scored 36 leading Holy Family over Mayer Lutheran and was then offered a scholarship by Xavier.

Sophomore Trevor Schauer scored 28 as Lester Prairie picked up a big win over Mankato Loyola 90-82.

Congrats to AJ Green of Concordia Academy leading his team to a win and getting over 1,000 points

[player_tooltip player_id="1226395" first="Baiden" last="Bean"] had 16 points, 8 assists, 4 steals and led his team to a win over number two ranked Shakopee recently.
