The Hardwood Invite showcased some of the top in-state talent, as well as top players from Florida and Oregon. The tournament was outstanding from start to finish, and although we highlighted some of the daily stars, I want to go back and put some shine on the guys that brought it every single day. For part one of the Hardwood Invite All-Tournament Teams, we're going to nail down the best of the best and see who made 1st Team and 2nd Team All-Tournament.

Forgive me, but I couldn't get this one down to five guys. There were too many guys pushing each other to a higher level to leave any of the following guys out. So, I added a sixth man to the 1st Team All-Tournament squad.

1st Team All-Tournament

Koren Johnson (2022) 6-3 Guard Garfield

Simply put, you can see why Johnson is already prepped for the next level. He led the tournament in steals and assists and was just outside the top five in scoring. He earned MVP honors, leading his team to win it all.

[player_tooltip player_id="1069345" first="Jordan" last="Hansen"] (2022) 6-7 Forward King's

He led all scorers by a wide margin with 29.8 ppg. He was efficient throughout, but more importantly, he was clutch when the Knights needed him most.

[player_tooltip player_id="923128" first="Jaylin" last="Stewart"] (2023) 6-7 Forward Garfield

Stewart was one of the most versatile players on the court. He can plug it up inside, step out and drain threes, or run the floor and finish with authority.

[player_tooltip player_id="1270717" first="Yanni" last="Fassillis"] (2023) 6-4 Forward Union

Fassillis finished third in scoring with 21.7 ppg and first in rebounding with 8.7 rpg - more than half of those offensive. That's all the more impressive when you consider Fassillis was essentially playing point-forward in the later games.

[player_tooltip player_id="942247" first="Devon" last="Malcolm"] (2022) 6-3 Forward South Medford (OR)

Malcolm put up good stats but the real difference in his game comes from all the little things he does. When you have a guy who can score inside, own the boards, block shots, and do all the tiny stuff, he has to go as a 1st Team player.

[player_tooltip player_id="1055750" first="Isaac" last="Celiscar"] (2024) 6-6 Guard Winter Haven (FL) - Celiscar led the tourney in FG% for those who took more than three shots - he took 11 per game. He was unstoppable when he got the ball inside and was relentless throughout the tournament.

2nd Team All-Tournament

[player_tooltip player_id="674438" first="Maleek" last="Arington"] (2022) 6-3 Guard Auburn

Arington is here because he effected the game in every dimension. He was second in the tournament in total assists, eighth in FTA, shot 70% from 3pt, and was top 20 in scoring.

[player_tooltip player_id="814550" first="Dylan" last="James"] (2023) 6-8 Forward Winter Haven (FL)

His length was a problem for opposing teams in every game. He finished second in both rpg (8.0) and bpg (2.3) and chipped in 14.5 ppg.

[player_tooltip player_id="929632" first="Trayce" last="Atkins"] (2022) 6-0 Guard Ferris

The slithery guard put up 19.7 ppg, which was good for fifth in scoring. Atkins shouldered a big responsibility in the Saxons offense and was pivotal in opening up defenses to get his teammates better looks.

[player_tooltip player_id="929625" first="Louis" last="Grante-Halliday"] (2022) 6-7 Guard Eastside Catholic

Halliday was the second highest scorer in the tournament, but also one of the most efficient. He could hit from outside but was an absolute bully when he went inside.

Cam Hiatt (2025) 6-4 Guard King's

King's has a special player in Hiatt. He's a bigger guard who can score at three levels, dish, and play solid defense. His skillset is impressive, but his mindset is what propelled him to a strong tournament.
