The week of December 13th I viewed six games that featured AZ players. Three of the game were at Perry HS in Gilbert, AZ and the other three were in Las Vegas. Nevada at the prestigious Tarkanian Classic.

Here were the games I covered:

Perry vs Mountain Freshman

Perry vs Mountain JV

Perry vs Mountain Varsity

Then I viewed Dream City Junior team, Phhoenix Prep Black and Bella Vista Prep in Vegas.

Here were some of the Underclassmen Standouts:

2024’s

[player_tooltip player_id="1138527" first="TJ" last="Clark"] Mountain Pointe JV

A long and athletic wing forward. He has a decent shooting stroke and he can create his own offense with dribble drives. He uses the floater well and takes long strides to the cup. He defends multiple positions and has a good awareness to make extra passes. He is a very good offensive and defensive rebounder and could be a future glass cleaner.

[player_tooltip player_id="1284853" first="Travis" last="Torain"] Dream City Christian Jr

A long shooting forward from mid to the 3pt line. He will rebound and block shots inside with his length. He has a pretty touch, length and upside for the future.

[player_tooltip player_id="1284862" first="AJ" last="Osman"] Dream City Christian Jr

A combo guard who can hit the catch-3. He can drive and kick to a shooter and is a better passer then I initially thought. He is athletic to drive it to the basket through traffic and brings energy on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id="1230512" first="Noah" last="Davis"] Perry JV

A natural scorer who likes getting downhill and he can pull-up from the 3pt line. He rips through quickly with his confident handle and sturdy frame. He rebounds the ball and can push it up the court with speed.

[player_tooltip player_id="1350772" first="Jonas" last="Cederlind"] Perry JV

A lefty PG with a good feel for the game just moved in from Cali. He can hesitate and get to the basket scoring on euros through contact. He should get some minutes on varsity next year with his skill, handle and IQ.

2025’s

[player_tooltip player_id="1348322" first="Tanner" last="Delevante"] Dream City Christian Jr (Pictured)

A quick PG who makes passes with his left or right hand into a teammates shooting pocket. He is a true facilitator with a tight handle and he is quick on the ball defensively. He has a good burst into the lane and will drive and kick it. He hesitates well and can score it with either hand in the lane. He is originally from Jamaica.

[player_tooltip player_id="1237854" first="Jaion" last="Pitt"] Dream City Christian Jr

A thick forward with a good body. He handles it well and gets to the rim. He scores it through contact versus bigger forwards and he will defend multiple positions, which is his strength.

[player_tooltip player_id="1150845" first="Quinn" last="Athanassoulis"] Dream City Christian Jr

A catch and shoot 3pt shooting forward is a true specialist. He is smart to take a charge and plays the game with a high IQ. He is a good passer and usually doesn’t make bad decisions with the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="1150825" first="Iyayi" last="Osunde"] Dream City Christian Jr

A long and muscular defensive guard. He gets downhill well and he can shot fake and will get to basket scoring around traffic. He collects steals, will block shots and is a smart defender.
