10) United Faith Christian Academy (8-2)

United Faith Christian Academy is on the list for one reason: Xavier McKelvy Xavier McKelvy 6'2" | CG United Faith Christian | 2022 State NC . He’s an underrated Winthrop signee that plays a winning brand of basketball that’s finding its way to his teammates on the floor. Marcus Willis Marcus Willis 6'0" | PG United Faith Christian Academy | 2022 State NC is another name that’s playing well too, posting 16.5 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 4.2 apg. 2023 Alex Bates Alex Bates 6'5" | SG United Faith Christian Academy | 2023 State NC is a name to know as well with his ability to attack and defend. They’ll face No. 9 Greenfield on Friday, Cape Fear Christian Academy on Saturday, Piedmont Classical on Monday then Concord Academy on Tuesday.
9) Greenfield School (7-2)

Greenfield School took their first two losses of the season since the first edition of power rankings. With losses to Moravian Prep and Trinity Academy Raleigh, the Knights should be better off when conference play arrives. Aaron Murphy Aaron Murphy 6'5" | SF Greenfield | 2022 State NC (Queens) and Hampton Evans Hampton Evans 6'5" | PF Farmville Central | 2024 State NC continue to do their thing while they look to find continuity in the backcourt with Matt Kirby Matt Kirby 5'11" | PG Greenfield | 2024 State NC , Micah Sherrod Micah Sherrod 6'2" | SG Greenfield | 2023 State NC and CJ Alston CJ Alston 6'1" | PG NC GBBA | 2024 State NC as a few names to know. They’ll square off against United Faith Christian on Friday, then face St. David’s on Tuesday.
8) Providence Day School (8-3)

Providence Day School finds themselves in the second edition of rankings as they ride a 5-game winning streak into the weekend. Unsigned floor general Quave Propst-Allison Quave Propst-Allison 6'0" | PG Providence Day | 2022 State NC leads the way for the Chargers with Trey Horton Trey Horton 6'4" | SG Hough | 2023 State NC and unsigned senior Bryce Scott Bryce Scott 6'6" | SF Providence Day | 2022 State NC in tow as well. They’re a well-rounded group with potential. They’ll face Metrolina Christian on Friday then Weddington on Saturday before Concord Academy on Monday and West Charlotte on Tuesday.
7) Wayne Country Day School (10-2)

Wayne Country Day School finds themselves at the No. 7 spot following a loss to Cape Fear Academy on Dec. 7. They’re back in the win column again already with a win over West Carteret this past Saturday. 2023 wing/forward Collin Tanner Collin Tanner 6'6" | SF Combine Academy | 2023 State NC is playing impressively, producing 25.3 ppg, 7.5 rpg and 1.5 spg through their first 12 games. Jordan ooper is another name playing well, putting up 12.0 ppg, 3.8 apg and 3.1 rpg. Carlos Vazquez Carlos Vazquez 6'5" | SF Wayne Country Day | 2024 State NC and Kayleb Coles Kayleb Coles 6'6" | PF Wayne Country Day | 2024 State NC are ones to track in the 2024 class.
6) Gaston Day School (8-1)

Gaston Day School is another squad that’s entered the NCISAA Top 10 Power Rankings following an impressive start to the 2021-22 season. They’ve won four games in a row and counting led by their guard trio of Chris Britt Chris Britt 5'10" | PG Ashbrook | 2022 State NC , Colin Fayed Colin Fayed 6'1" | SG Gaston Day | 2023 State NC and Evan Montanari Evan Montanari 6'2" | SG Gaston Day | 2023 State NC . 2023 big man Callum Richard Callum Richard 6'11" | C Gaston Day | 2023 State NC is another one to keep an eye on with his upside. They’ll face Westchester Country Day on Friday night and Calvardy Day School on Monday then Covenant Day on Wednesday.
5) Trinity Academy Raleigh (8-1)

Trinity Academy Raleigh finds themselves at the fifth spot in the second edition of NCISAA Top 10 Power Rankings with an 8-1 record. They’ve won three games in a row since dropping their first game of the season to Word of God back on Dec. 4. Since then, Noah Ross Noah Ross 6'6" | SG Trinity Academy (Raleigh) | 2022 State NC (UNC-Wilmington) and Sam Perez Sam Perez 6'7" | PF Trinity Academy (Raleigh) | 2022 State NC (Furman) have found their stride a bit with Kevon Vanderhorst Kevon Vanderhorst 6'1" | PG Trinity Academy (Raleigh) | 2023 State NC running things at the point guard spot. They’ll face Northwood Temple this Friday then Northside Christian on Thursday.
4) Charlotte Latin (9-0)
Last Rank: No. 7
Charlotte Latin has been a pleasant surprise in the 2021-22 season as they continue their climb up the power rankings to the fourth spot. They’ve got recent victories over Ardrey Kell and Davidson Day under their belt with Christ the King coming up on Friday and Wesleyan Christian on Monday and Rabun Gap on Tuesday. Ned Hull Ned Hull 6'2" | PG Charlotte Latin | 2023 State NC , Sean Rose Sean Rose 6'6" | PF Charlotte Latin | 2023 State NC and Brandon Lavitt Brandon Lavitt 6'5" | SF Charlotte Latin | 2022 State NC have their squad playing well and in prime position to make a move.
3) The Burlington School (10-2)

The Burlington School finds themselves on the outside looking in at the number 1 spot following a tough loss to Word of God Academy this past week. They’re a squad led by Avion Pinner Avion Pinner 6'9" | PF Concord Academy | 2023 State NC , Kheni Briggs Kheni Briggs 6'4" | CG The Burlington School | 2022 State NC , Kobe George Kobe George 6'3" | PG Winston-Salem Christian | 2023 #213 Nation NC and a few others that should continue to contend for the top position in the power rankings. Another 2023 prospect to know is guard Myles Hooker. They’ve got some solid games to close out the month including 12/22 against JL Chambers and 12/23 against Millbrook High.
2) Carmel Christian (10-0)
Last Rank: No. 3
Carmel Christian finds themselves a spot higher than the last edition of rankings as they remain unbeaten on the season. They’re another squad with recent victories over Cannon School (12/10) and Cary Academy (12/11) as they continue their impressive season. They’ll be a top contender once again for the NCISAA 4A State title with Cade Tyson Cade Tyson 6'6" | SG Carmel Christian | 2022 State NC (Belmont) and unsigned senior guards Logan Threatt Logan Threatt 6'3" | PG Carmel Christian | 2022 State NC and Nyles Howard Nyles Howard 6'4" | CG Davidson Day | 2022 State NC leading the charge for them. They’re a talented, well-coached group with a ton of potential as a state title contender.
1) Greensboro Day School (13-0)

The Greensboro Day Bengals find themselves at the top of the NCISAA Top 10 Power Rankings after winning another five games since the last edition. The Bengals got a big win over Cannon School, 53-46, back on Dec. 3 and haven’t looked back. 2023s Jaydon Young Jaydon Young 6'4" | CG Greensboro Day | 2023 State #206 Nation NC and Julius Reese Jr Julius Reese Jr 6'3" | CG Greensboro Day | 2023 State NC . are a few unsigned names to know for this squad. They’ll get all they can handle this weekend from Calvary Christian Academy on Friday in the City of Palms Classic.
