The Mountain State Conference has some of the best teams in the state and has one of the largest pools of prospects to choose from in the state. We are now on part 2 of this list which will showcase prospects ranked 5-8 and the list is based on the current rankings given by prep hoops. The list will be updated multiple times throughout the season as well. If you have not seen part 1 I encourage you to go read it as it has the top prospects in the conference.

[player_tooltip player_id="977588" first="Darius" last="Dawson"] (2022) | 6-0 SG | South Charleston

Darius is a very fast guard that displays solid passing skills and a good 3 point jump shot. His main strengths are on the defensive end of the court as he displays excellent perimeter defense and jumps passing lanes at opportune times. Darius also does a great job playing help defense and communicating with his teammates to insure all areas are covered.

[player_tooltip player_id="977606" first="Kcion" last="Welch"] (2022) | 6-2 SF | Capital

A solid wing player with a good shooting stroke, Kcion currently ranks 6th on this list and is hoping to help lead Capital in his senior season to a great season. Kcion also shows solid defensive skills and plays a lot bigger than what he actually is. Look for him to develop his outside game even more this season as he will probably transition to SG in college.

[player_tooltip player_id="977597" first="Corbin" last="Page"] (2022) | 6-4 C | Spring Valley

A quality big man in this conference and currently sits in the top 35 in Prephoops player rankings for the state and number 7 in his conference. Corbin is a great player on a lesser team but he is not big enough to play center at a high level in college so he would probably need to change positions. He committed to WVU as a football TE so he would have to be convinced to change sports.

[player_tooltip player_id="1051565" first="Emirh" last="White"] (2022) | 6-0 PG | Huntington

Running PG for one of the best teams in the state is an impressive achievement and Emirh has a chance to showcase his talents on a big stage this season. He has great speed, solid court vision, and good perimeter defense to go along with his ability to lead the offense. He currently ranks 8th on this list but with the talent around him he has the chance to show he can run one of the best teams and move up the rankings.
