The Shore Conference has been one of the better conferences in the Garden State as it houses the most recent Tournament of Champions winner. Wall point guard [player_tooltip player_id="901981" first="Colin" last="Ackerman"] committed to Wilkes yesterday, but the conference is still filled with good guard prospects. Here are the top available 2022 guards in the Shore Conference.

[player_tooltip player_id="901983" first="DJ" last="Thomson"], 6’3 PG Keyport

Thomson’s collegiate future could be on the gridiron, but he also gets it done on the hardwood. The dual-sport athlete is at his best attacking the basket as he can finish in a variety of ways around the rim and knows how to draw contact. Thomson can also score in the mid-range and is working on becoming a more consistent shooter from distance. He is a strong rebounder and can make plays on the defensive end. Thomson is an intriguing prospect to watch in the Shore Conference with his ability to get to the basket and finish.

[player_tooltip player_id="901979" first="Nate" last="Williams"], 6’3 SG St. John Vianney

Williams has had an important role in the Lancers’ offense over the last two seasons and it should continue in 2021-22. The 6’3 guard has a nice release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Williams moves exceptionally well off the ball, freeing himself up for open jumpers and layups. He has an underrated handle and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Williams is a 3-and-D prospect who should have a solid final varsity season for St. John Vianney.

[player_tooltip player_id="901973" first="Brandon" last="Klatsky"], 6’3 SG Ranney

Klatsky will be tasked with a larger scoring role this season for the Panthers after the losses of three of their top five scorers from last season. The 6’3 guard is a big-time shooter with a good shooting form and the ability to hit triples in bunches. Klatsky makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and moves well off the ball. He is unafraid to take a charge on the defensive end and is an underrated on-ball defender. Klatsky’s ability to knockdown shots from behind the arc is something that will help his stock in a big way this season.

Jon Spatola (Jonathan), 5’8 PG Marlboro

Spatola is the spark plug for the Mustangs’ offense as he makes it run effectively. The 5’8 guard has a nice handle, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and get to the rim. Spatola can finish through contact and knock down jumpers from behind the arc. He is a strong rebounder and plays hard on both ends of the floor. Spatola is a gamer who does what it takes to win games for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id="931026" first="Cy" last="Arvanitis"], 6’3 SG Red Bank Catholic

Arvanitis is ready for a strong senior season after a pair of good seasons for the Caseys. The 6’3 guard has a lightning quick release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Arvanitis can also score in the mid-range and moves exceptionally well off the ball. He is an underrated passer and can bring the ball up the floor. Arvanitis is a shooter who looks to lead the way for Red Bank Catholic this season.
