Region 6-A Preview

Prep Hoops takes a lot of pride in providing you the best coverage here in the in the Palmetto State. Prep Hoops is taking a trip around the Palmetto State and looking at regions by regions. I’ll be the first to admit here I need to cover this area better this coming season. Covid-19 did hurt some of that coverage last season especially in years past I would attend the Hawks Invitational at Blackville-Hilda HS. A limited schedule last season did that for sure. Lets try to drive in some information from this right here.

Region 6-A Predictions:

1.Bamberg-Ehrhardt – Was able to get a glimpse of this young program this summer at the SCBCA – plenty of talent coming up the ranks. The Red Raiders finished last at (18-2) under Head Coach Corey Crosby.

2.Estill HS – The Gators always seem to be around the top.

3.Bethune-Bowman HS – Can the Mohawks replace Bradley Washington Bradley Washington 6'2" | SG Bethune-Bowman | 2021 State SC ?

4.Branchville HS – The Yellow Jackets were winless last season.

5.Allendale-Fairfax HS – Youth movement is settling in here for the Tigers

6.Bridges Prep (Beaufort) – The Buccaneers are a public charter school.

7.Royal Live Oaks (Hardeeville) – Could the Knights surprise some schools this year ?

Deuce Capers Deuce Capers 6'5" | PF Bamberg-Ehrhardt | 2022 State SC (2022) – Bamberg-Ehrhardt HS

Capers averaged 8.3 ppg and 5 rebounds last season for the Red Raiders.

Anthony Jones Anthony Jones 6'2" | CG Bamberg-Ehrhardt | 2022 State SC (2022) – Bamberg-Ehrhardt HS

Jones contributed 7.6 ppg last season. Look for this DUOS role to change this coming season for Head Coach Corey Crosby.

Courtney McClorin (2022) – Bethune-Bowman HS

Courtney plays football in the fall for the Mohawks on both lines and Tight End.

Chanston Crosby Chanston Crosby 6'2" | CG Bamberg-Ehrhardt | 2025 SC (2025) – Bamberg-Ehrhardt HS

Prep Hoops was able to get a peak of this young man this summer at the SCBCA Camp in Rock Hill.

Jaden Williams Jaden Williams 6'1" | CG Allendale-Fairfax | 2026 State SC (2026) – Allendale-Fairfax HS

Williams is the younger brother of Shawn Jones who just finished his career for the Tigers. Williams just a 8th grader should see plenty of playing time in the years to come.
