What South Florida prospects are the best rebounders? The following players get it done with their size and athleticism. Second chance opportunities are few and far between with these prospects working the glass.

Check out my top picks…

[player_tooltip player_id="962596" first="Gavin" last="Aydelotte"] – Benjamin

Good luck collecting a board with [player_tooltip player_id="962596" first="Gavin" last="Aydelotte"] in the paint. The 6-foot-10 center will be a double-digit favorite as a junior. Aydelotte can clear out space with his frame and make it near impossible to grab a rebound. He should have put back attempts on the offensive side as well. How are you going to box him out over 32 minutes? I think he has a huge advantage at his position in Palm Beach County. Actually, not many near 7-footers anywhere.

[player_tooltip player_id="1163358" first="Malik" last="Abdullahi"] – Columbus

[player_tooltip player_id="1163358" first="Malik" last="Abdullahi"] is marquee choice for this list based on his length and athleticism. The 6-foot-6 forward grabbed 9.9 boards as a freshman. Abdullahi’s athletic superiority is too much to handle for 32 minutes. Furthermore, he’s only going to get bigger and put on more weight, which will help him in the paint. The fact he was pulling down nearly ten boards a game as a freshman is proof of his upside. Imagine Abdullahi as a junior or senior.

[player_tooltip player_id="829393" first="Jesus" last="Rivas"] – Miami High

All 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="829393" first="Jesus" last="Rivas"] has done is average a double-double as a sophomore and junior. He’s been a consistent frontline player in Miami-Dade County. Now with the Stingarees, I expect more of the same. Brito has a mature fame for the high school level. His power and muscle will be tough to stop. I think he’s extremely tough and more than capable to battle with any player in the paint. He averaged 12.6 boards per game at Brito as a junior.

Others to watch:

All D-1 quality players here. There is a correlation between these players and the teams they play on...they win ball games.

[player_tooltip player_id="712107" first="Taylor" last="Hendricks"] – Calvary Christian Academy

[player_tooltip player_id="829386" first="Brenen" last="Lorient"] – Calvary Christian Academy

[player_tooltip player_id="1069620" first="Marcus" last="Allen"] – Miami Norland
