Need a 3-pointer?

The following prospects can hit from anywhere behind the line. Furthermore, these players can ignite their team’s offense and shift momentum away from their opponent. It’s a huge part of the game when you have an efficient shooter like those below on your team.

[player_tooltip player_id="814930" first="Jose" last="Amat"] III – Florida Christian

The Patriots play at a fast pace and 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="814930" first="Jose" last="Amat"] III is usually its beneficiary on offense. The 5-foot-8 guard made 48 3-pointers while shooting 49 percent from the floor. Amat III hit some timely shots against some of the best opponents in the state as a junior. He’s in superb shape to get up and down the court and fire up attempts. Florida Christian’s tempo is a microcosm of Amat III’s game.

[player_tooltip player_id="829513" first="Nicholas" last="Mate"] – Florida Christian

Similar to Amat III, [player_tooltip player_id="829513" first="Nicholas" last="Mate"] can quickly knock down shots in Florida Christian’s offense. The 5-foot-10 guard also made 48 3-pointers while shooting 40 percent from the floor. Mate has a quick release which aides his shooting expertise. It’s no surprise why this team won 17 games last season.

[player_tooltip player_id="709246" first="Carl" last="Parrish"] – Miami Norland

2023 [player_tooltip player_id="709246" first="Carl" last="Parrish"] is prime for a big season. The 6-foot-1 guard played well down the stretch and saw his shooting numbers improve. Overall, Parrish hit 50 3-pointers while shooting 38 percent. I love his athleticism and ability to create his own shot. Parrish can create separation and knock down buckets at a high rate. I think his shooting confidence will continue to rise. Along with 2023 [player_tooltip player_id="1069620" first="Marcus" last="Allen"], Parrish can carry Miami Norland to a big season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1164250" first="Derrick" last="Edouard"] – North Miami

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1164250" first="Derrick" last="Edouard"] is an underrated prospect in South Florida. He’s got long arms and versatility on both sides of the court. When you add his athleticism, Edouard is tough to defend for 32 minutes. From the perimeter, the 6-foot-2 shooting guard knocked down 42 3-pointers while shooting 35 percent. Edouard is part of a solid guard group for the Pioneers. He should only be better during his senior campaign.

[player_tooltip player_id="709229" first="David" last="Delancy"] IV – Somerset Academy

2023 [player_tooltip player_id="709229" first="David" last="Delancy"] is going to find his shot on an open look or under contested pressure. The 6-foot-5 combo guard buried 63 3-pointers as a sophomore. Delancy IV can get hot in a hurry and carry his team with the long ball. Moreover, I love his confidence and approach on the floor. I think his overall consistency will only improve this season. When that happens, opponents are going to have a tough time keeping up with him.
